The squad was <strong>Emilia Ronningdal, Zsofia Kurdi, Hailey Williams <\/strong>and <strong>Kristina Orban.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Orban, the reigning 200 free champ, recorded the fastest split of the meet in 1:45.74. Williams and Orban were on the winning team last year, while Ronningdal has been part of all four championships squads.<\/p>\n<p>Second was Colorado Mesa, albeit more than five seconds back. <strong>Ada Qunell,<\/strong> the top seed in the 200 free, led off 1:48.61. Grand Valley was third in 7:14.24, with Tampa fourth in 7:15.49. Among the other team title contenders, Drury was fifth and Indy, in probably its weakest relay, was 10th.<\/p>\n<pre><b> Event 1  Women 800 Yard Freestyle third straight year. They were more than a second faster than last year\u2019s record, going 6:16.64 with the team of<strong> Barnabas Fluck, Joshua Noll, Jacob Hamlin <\/strong>and <strong>Nicholas Cavic.<\/strong> Hamlin is the only holdover from last year\u2019s record-setting team. He split 1:33.32 on the end, then Cavic went faster in 1:33.14. The record from 2025 NCAAs was 6:17.93.<\/p>\n<p>It took all of that record to deny Drury in what may be a harbinger of a thrilling meet to come. Drury\u2019s <strong>Lucas Minuer, Matteo Vissotti, Alvaro Zornoza Quiros <\/strong>and <strong>Joao Nogueira<\/strong> were also under the old record by more than a second in 6: 16.80. Minuer had Drury out front, and it was more than a second at the midway point. Hamlin pushed the Trojans to the lead on the third leg, and Cavic held off Nogueira, who split 1:32.85, at every wall to finish it off.<\/p>\n<p>Colorado Mesa was third in 6:19.80. Indy was fourth, followed by McKendree. But McKendree\u2019s swim included the best leg of the night, with <strong>Volodymyr Gavrysh<\/strong> leading off in 1:32.40. That takes down the Division II record in the 200 free, which had held at 1:32.46 in the hands of Queens\u2019 <strong>Dion Dreesens<\/strong> since 2016. (Hamlin won the 200 free in 1:33.38 last year with Gavrysh second in 1:33.63.)<\/p>\n<pre><b> Event 2  Men 800 Yard Freestyle
