The men\u2019s team scored a 230-70 win over the Aggies. The Longhorn women prevailed, 207-92.<\/p>\n<p>Maurer\u2019s record erased the long-standing standard set in 2001 by Chris Thompson. That split of 8:44.11 was the American record, the split off the front of his 1,650 freestyle win at NCAAs for the University of Michigan swimmer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/12thman.com\/documents\/2026\/1\/30\/Final_Results.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/sec-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEC Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Maurer took it down Friday emphatically by going 8:37.19. He led a 1-2-3 in the 1,000, followed by <strong>Alec Enyeart<\/strong> and <strong>Aiden Hammer.<\/strong> Maurer also won the 200 individual medley in 1:42.97.<\/p>\n<p>Cox won the 1,000 free in 9:23.84. That improves her program record of 9:24.82 set in 2024. <strong>Kate Hurst<\/strong> pushed her all the way in 9:26.12, a best time for her by more than 5.5 seconds. She also won the 500 free in 4:36.89, again with Hurst second.<\/p>\n<p>On the men\u2019s side, the 100 backstroke provided excitement, with <strong>Will Modglin<\/strong> winning a duel of three Longhorns. He went 46.10 to edge <strong>Hubert Kos<\/strong> by .02 seconds and <strong>Kyle Peck<\/strong> by .07. Kos got revenge in the 200 back with a win in 1:39.91, with Peck (1:41.11) second and Modglin (1:42.96) third. Kos would end up winning the 100 butterfly in 45.82, ahead of <strong>Ksawery Masiuk\u2019s<\/strong> 45.96.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nate Germonprez<\/strong> went the breaststroke events, going 50.92 in the 100 and 1:52.47 in the 200. <strong>Rafael Fente-Damers<\/strong> won the 200 free in 1:33.66 and the 100 free in 43.10, with 50 free winner <strong>Garrett Gould<\/strong> (19.35) second in the latter. <strong>Cooper Lucas<\/strong> was second in the 200 fly to <strong>Ryan Branon<\/strong> before winning the 500 free in 4:17.99.<\/p>\n<p>Modglin, Germonprez, Gould and Fente-Damers went 1:23.09 to win the 200 medley relay. Gould, Kos, Peck and Fente-Damers went 2:49.72 in the 400 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M\u2019s win on the men\u2019s side came in 1-meter diving, where <strong>Emilio Trevino\u2019s<\/strong> score of 350.78 points edged out <strong>Nick Harris<\/strong> by just over a point. No one could catch Harris\u2019 405.23 on 3-meter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campbell Stoll<\/strong> pulled an impressive double for the Longhorns women\u2019s team, going 1:54.02 to win the 200 fly and 1:57.62 in the 200 IM. She also swam breaststroke on the 200 medley relay that went 1:35.84 (<strong>Emma Kern, Lillian Nesty, Eva Okaro<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>Nesty and Okaro teamed with <strong>Alexa Fulton<\/strong> and <strong>Brooke Adams<\/strong> to go 3:14.74 in the 400 free relay win. Fulton won the 50 free in 22.51, with <strong>Lucy Mehraban<\/strong> second in 22.60 and Nesty third in 22.64. Okaro was second in the 200 free, .25 behind the 1:45.27 of teammate <strong>Inez Miller,<\/strong> and in the 100 fly, behind <strong>Angie Coe\u2019s<\/strong> 52.29.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Piper Enge<\/strong> won the 100 breast in 1:00.49. <strong>Haley McDonald<\/strong> claimed the 200 back.
