{"id":636117,"date":"2026-01-30T14:25:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-30T21:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=636117"},"modified":"2026-01-30T14:25:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-30T21:25:09","slug":"arkansas-swims-past-vanderbilt-on-senior-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/arkansas-swims-past-vanderbilt-on-senior-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Arkansas Swims Past Vanderbilt on Senior Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Arkansas Swims Past Vanderbilt on Senior Day<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The University of Arkansas women&#8217;s swimming and diving team defeated Vanderbilt 145-108 in an SEC showdown on senior day.<\/p>\n<p>Before the meet, the Razorbacks recognized and celebrated four seniors \u2014<strong> Aris Runnels, Delaney Harrison, Malea Martinez<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>Sydney Craft<\/strong> \u2014 and their successful contributions to the Razorbacks Swimming and Diving program.<\/p>\n<p>Arkansas opened the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay. Runnels, <strong>Lindy Hunter<\/strong>, Harrison and <strong>Harriet Rogers<\/strong> got to the wall in 1:39.17.<\/p>\n<p>Runnels won the 100 backstroke in 54.07. Rogers won the 50 free in 22.13.<\/p>\n<p>Craft won the 1000 freestyle in 10:17.38 and 200 fly in 1:59.51 for Arkansas. <strong>Tammy Greenwood<\/strong> won the 200 free in 1:48.68 and 200 back in 1:57.97. <strong>Ellen Garritson<\/strong> won the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.46. <strong>Viola Petrini<\/strong> won the 100 free in 50.09.<\/p>\n<p>Rogers, Runnels, Craft and Harrison won the 400 free relay in 3:20.49.<\/p>\n<p>Vanderbilt&#8217;s <strong>Melissa Cowen<\/strong> won the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:13.64.
