She is a Futures qualifier who excels in freestyler and IM.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>&#8220;I&#8217;m so incredibly excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Iowa!! I&#8217;d like to thank my family, friends, and Coach Barber, Dave and Brian for supporting and helping me through this process. I would also like to thank Coach Nate and the entire Iowa coaching staff for this amazing opportunity. Go Hawkeyes!!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Pelinkovic does her club swimming with FMC Aquatic Club. Last summer, she finaled in three events at Minneapolis Sectionals where her highest finish was an 11th-place showing in the 400m free. She then went on to clock four best times at Madison Futures.<\/p>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 51.80<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:50.06<\/li>\n<li>500 free &#8211; 4:56.00<\/li>\n<li>1000 free &#8211; 10:11.64<\/li>\n<li>400 IM &#8211; 4:29.64<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently a junior at Hinsdale Central High School, Pelinkovic placed sixth in both the 200 free and 500 free at the 2025 Illinois State Championship while helping her team to a runner-up finish in the 4&#215;100 free relay. She took ninth in the 500 free at the state meet during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n<p>Pelinkovic is a great pickup for the Hawkeyes.
