On the women&#8217;s side, Texas A&amp;M defeated Kentucky 139-122 while beating Vanderbilt 202-54. Kentucky also surpassed the Commodores (206-55). For the men, Kentucky defeated A&amp;M 184-78.<\/p>\n<p>The meet began with\u00a0<strong>Kaitlyn Owens<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ella McQuinn<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ava Whitaker<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Reagan Sherrard<\/strong> dominating the 200 medley relay for A&amp;M in 1:37.97. McQuinn got the first individual win for the Aggies with a time of 1:46.72 in the 200 freestyle, and she later added a first-place result in the 100 free (49.01). Owens claimed first in the 100 backstroke (53.05) as well as the 50 free (22.91).<\/p>\n<p>Whitaker dominated the 200 butterfly (1:56.05) as well as the 100-yard race (52.83) while <strong>Hannah O&#8217;Leary<\/strong> led the way in a tight 200 breaststroke (2:12.56). The team of McQuinn, Owens, Sherrard and\u00a0<strong>Eloise Williamson<\/strong> crushed the field in the 400 free relay by more than two seconds, going 3:19.30.<\/p>\n<p>Kentucky&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Paige Housman<\/strong> captured first in the 1000 free (9:53.84), and teammate <strong>Sarah Shaffer<\/strong> won the 100 breast (1:01.96). <strong>Ally <\/strong><strong>Frame<\/strong> won the 200 back (1:57.45), and the 500 free went to <strong>Madilyn McGlothen<\/strong> (4:47.18).\u00a0<strong>Hayden Penny<\/strong> rounded out individual racing with a win in the 200 IM (1:59.14). In diving,\u00a0<strong>Avery Giese<\/strong> took first on platform (264.98) as well as 1-meter (282.38).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/college\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">More college swimming news<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s meet, the Kentucky team of <strong>Lysander Osman<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Adomas Gatulis<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Javier Lopez-Guillen\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Falemana Tuufui<\/strong> notched a winning result in the 200 medley relay (1:24.10).\u00a0<strong>Carson Hick\u00a0<\/strong>scored the distance freestyle double, going 8:49.51 in the 1000 free and 4:19.36\u00a0in the 500 free.\u00a0<strong>Caue Gluck<\/strong> took the win in a tight 200 free (1:37.25), and Osman led a Wildcats 1-2-3 finish in the 100 back (46.03).<\/p>\n<p>Gatulis hit the pad first in the 100 breast (52.35), followed by Lopez-Guillen pulling away for first in the 200 fly (1:44.05).
