Both swimmers relished in competing at their home training base, with McIntosh setting the top time by nearly 10 seconds and Marchand nearly five seconds to the good against admittedly limited fields.<\/p>\n<p>The action from Friday morning:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/usa-swimming-pro-swim-series-austin-day-1-finals-bobby-finke-tops-daniel-wiffen-in-1500-free-regan-smith-anna-elendt-score-dominant-wins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 1 Recap<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/\/news\/usa-swimming-pro-swim-series-austin-day-2-finals-leon-marchand-summer-mcintosh-take-care-of-business-in-200-im\/\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 2 Recap<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.omegatiming.com\/2026\/2026-tyr-pro-swim-series01-live-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Women\u2019s 200 freestyle<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Anna Peplowski<\/strong> led the way in prelims with a time of 1:58.49, one of three swimmers to break two minutes. Joining her in that club are <strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong> in 1:59.25 and <strong>Claire Weinstein<\/strong> in 1:59.88.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a very American A final, with <strong>Rylee Erisman<\/strong> following in 2:00.34. <strong>Chloe Stepanek<\/strong> was fifth. Teens <strong>Blakeley Hammel<\/strong> and <strong>Brinkleigh Hansen<\/strong> are also in the A final.<\/p>\n<h4>Men\u2019s 200 freestyle<\/h4>\n<p>The American men lead the way in the 200, with <strong>Luke Hobson<\/strong> out front. He won the final prelims heat in 1:47.40, .33 seconds up on <strong>Chris Guiliano. Gabriel Jett, Ryan Erisman<\/strong> and <strong>Carson Foster<\/strong> added 147s from the American contingent. <strong>Lucas Henveaux<\/strong> was sixth.<\/p>\n<p>A handful of veterans missed out on the A final. That includes <strong>Brooks Curry<\/strong> in ninth in 1:48.66 and <strong>Kieran Smith<\/strong> in 10th. <strong>Jack Alexy<\/strong> was 12th. A spread of 1.26 seconds separated the top 10.<\/p>\n<h4>Women\u2019s 50 butterfly<\/h4>\n<p>The youth led the way in the sprint, a thin roster <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/usa-swimming-announces-dates-format-changes-for-2026-tyr-pro-swim-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">despite the emphasis on sprint prizes as this meet<\/a>. <strong>Charlotte Crush<\/strong> finished first in 26.93. <strong>Mena Boardman<\/strong> was second in 27.02, .03 up on Bermudian <strong>Emma Harvey.<\/strong> French veteran <strong>Marie Wattel<\/strong> was fourth in 27.11. <strong>Lindsay Looney<\/strong> wrapped up the A final in eighth in 27.94.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong> scratched the 50 fly.<\/p>\n<h4>Men\u2019s 50 butterfly<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Finn Brooks<\/strong> led the way in prelims with a time of 23.14. HE was .16 up on <strong>Maxime Grousset. Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> finished third in 23.65. Fourth was <strong>Masahiro Kawane<\/strong> of Japan, with <strong>Van Mathias<\/strong> fifth.<\/p>\n<p>This event, like the women\u2019s 50 fly, will go through semifinals Friday night.<\/p>\n<h4>Women\u2019s 400 individual medley<\/h4>\n<p>No one was catching <strong>Summer McIntosh<\/strong> in the morning, the Canadian world-beater going 4:37.89. No one got particularly close, with <strong>Emma Weyant<\/strong> second in 4:47.25. It\u2019s then another eight seconds back to <strong>Teagan O\u2019Dell<\/strong> in third. <strong>Rowyn Wilber<\/strong> was the only other swimmer to break five minutes.<\/p>\n<h4>Men\u2019s 400 individual medley<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Leon Marchand\u2019s<\/strong> dominance was not quite to that degree but still pretty convincing. The Frenchman led the way with a time of 4:21.60. He\u2019s nearly five seconds up on teen <strong>Wilson York.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Third place in prelims was <strong>Bobby Finke<\/strong> in 4:26.60, after his revival in this event last year. <strong>Gerhardt Hoover<\/strong> went 4:30.18 for fourth place.<\/p>\n<h4>Women\u2019s 50 backstroke<\/h4>\n<p>Only 17 swimmers were left for the women\u2019s 50 back, which more or less sets an academic semifinal field Friday night. <strong>Beryl Gastaldello<\/strong> led the way, the French veteran clocking in at 28.11. Her countrywoman <strong>Analia Pigree<\/strong> was third in 28.86.<\/p>\n<p>Second place went to 100 back champ <strong>Regan Smith<\/strong> in 28.52. Seven swimmers broke 30 seconds, with <strong>Emma Harvey<\/strong> fourth and <strong>Charlotte Crush<\/strong> fifth.<\/p>\n<h4>Men\u2019s 50 backstroke<\/h4>\n<p>The men\u2019s back field was only slightly deeper, with 18 swimmers once <strong>Jack Alexy<\/strong> scratched. <strong>Shaine Casas<\/strong> paced the field with a time of 25.37. He was .12 seconds up on 100 back bronze medalist <strong>Grant Bochenski.<\/strong> Frenchmen <strong>Yohann Ndoye Brouard<\/strong> and <strong>Mathys Chouchaoui<\/strong> were third and fifth,
