The Futures qualifier is a native of Centerton, Ark.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>&#8220;I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Utah!! I am incredibly grateful for my parents who have always encouraged and supported me through my swimming career. I truly would not be here without my amazing family, teammates, and coaches. A big thanks to the Utah staff for this amazing opportunity! Go Utes!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Butcher trains year-round with the Razorback Aquatic Club Aquahawgs. She most recently won the 100 back and the 100 free at Beaman Toyota Meet of Champions last month. Last summer, she was a six-time finalist at Justin Futures where her highest finish was a third-place showing in the 100m back. Prior to that meet, Butcher had other strong showings at Columbia Sectionals and Arkansas Long Course Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 free &#8211; 24.04<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 51.35<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:52.26<\/li>\n<li>100 back &#8211; 56.26<\/li>\n<li>200 back &#8211; 2:02.23<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently a junior at Bentonville West High School, Butcher won the 200 free and was the 100 free runner-up at the Arkansas 6A State Championships. She finished third in the 200 IM and fourth in the 500 free at the state meet as a freshman.<\/p>\n<p>Utah finished fifth at the 2025 Big 12 Championships.
