Olympic silver medallist <strong>Matt Richards<\/strong> went in the sixth of eight prelims where he touched first in 1:41.79. He had to wait until the final prelim for his GB teammates where McMillan and <strong>Duncan Scott<\/strong> &#8211; Olympic silver medallist in Tokyo &#8211; were in lanes three and four. McMillan surged ahead with the pair 1-2 for much of the race and although Scott came back on the final 25, it was McMillan who was first in 1:41.41 to 1:41.58. The Netherlands booked lane four for the final in 1:37.40 ahead of Denmark (1:37.53) and Sweden (1:38.23). <strong>Eneli Jefimova<\/strong> split 28.81 as Estonia qualified fifth in 1:38.92 while <strong>Ruta Meilutyte<\/strong> went 29.27 as Lithuania claimed the eighth and final spot for tonight&#8217;s decider in 1:39.32. The Irishman went through 800 in 7:38 with the defending champion leading until the final 25 when <strong>Victor Johansson<\/strong> went past him to post 14:23.98 to 14:24.38. Tuncelli squeaked through in eighth place (14:33.05) but there&#8217;s no place for <strong>Oliver Klemet<\/strong> (14:33.56) or <strong>Damien<\/strong> <strong>Joly<\/strong>
