Dean joined forces with <strong>James Guy, Matt Richards<\/strong> and <strong>Duncan Scott<\/strong> as the quartet won 4&#215;2 gold with <strong>Calum Jarvis<\/strong> having swum prelims.\u00a0<strong>Freya Anderson<\/strong>, who swam the prelims of the mixed medley in Tokyo before GB went on to win the inaugural title, was also among McNulty&#8217;s stable before moving to Stirling.<\/p>\n<p>In Paris the Tokyo quartet claimed an historic title defence. No four individuals had combined to win relay gold medals at two different Olympics <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/success-of-british-800-freestyle-relay-can-be-connected-to-camaraderie-and-brotherhood\/\">before they did so at La Defense Arena<\/a> in July 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Guy spent seven years in Bath, working first under <strong>Jol Finck<\/strong> and then McNulty, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/two-time-olympic-champion-james-guy-to-leave-bath-national-centre-after-seven-years\/\">before moving on to Millfield<\/a> in September 2023. While with McNulty, he won Olympic, world, European and Commonwealth titles.<\/p>\n<p>The BCSA said: &#8220;Dave has been a stalwart of British Swimming Coaching for many decades. He has nurtured &amp; developed the talents of swimmers to achieve success at Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth levels\u00a0<span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\">and been true to his fundamental principles throughout. The BSCA Board had no hesitation in recognising this living legend! <\/span><span class=\"css-1jxf684 r-bcqeeo r-1ttztb7 r-qvutc0 r-poiln3\"> Many congratulations Dave!&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>McNulty was also handed the BSCA Coaching Award of Excellence 2025 for his role with the men&#8217;s 4&#215;2 which won the world title in Singapore.<\/p>\n<p>The BSCA are issuing awards throughout the week
