The 200 medley relay team of<strong> Sophia Paduano, Kayla Duran, Chloe Diner<\/strong> and <strong>Isabella Wilhelm<\/strong> put the first points on the board, earning a first-place finish with a time of 1:43.40. Diner also cruised to a victory in the 100 butterfly (55.47), while Wilhelm picked up her own individual gold in the 50 freestyle (23.72).<\/p>\n<p>In the 100 backstroke, Paduano and <strong>Michelle Kaner p<\/strong>laced second and third, respectively, notching times of 56.90 and 57.52.<\/p>\n<p>Veteran<strong> Sara Jass<\/strong> highlighted the individual events, emerging victorious in both the 200 breaststroke (2:18.46) and the 400 IM (4:20.28). Diner (4:24.09) and<strong> Adelaide Reaser<\/strong> (4:26.51) rounded out the top three in the 400 IM.<\/p>\n<p>In the final event between the lanes, <strong>Eva Allan, Sophia Yousuf, Maggie Adler<\/strong> and Wilhelm brought home gold for the Illini in the 400 freestyle relay, logging a time of 3:26.80.<\/p>\n<p>Illinois swept the podium in the one-meter boards, with Bethany Mercer capturing the event crown (287.10), <strong>Elle Crisostomo<\/strong> coming in second (285.75) and <strong>Elleka Boeres<\/strong> slotting in at third (270.67).<\/p>\n<p>On the first day, Illinois&#8217; <strong>Sophia Paduano, Kayla Duran, Chloe Diner<\/strong> and <strong>Eva Allan<\/strong> kicked things off for the Fighting Illini, earning gold with a time of 3:45.92 in the 400 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>Diner and Allan followed up with additional wins in their individual events, as Diner swam a 1:02.26 to bring home gold in the 100 breaststroke and Allan tallied first in the 100 freestyle (51.43). Duran followed just behind Diner in the breaststroke to notch second place (1:03.35).<\/p>\n<p>Diner also earned gold in the 200 freestyle relay alongside <strong>Isabella Wilhelm, Maggie Adle<\/strong>r and <strong>Sara Jass<\/strong> (1:33.94).<\/p>\n<p>The final individual Illinois gold between the lanes came from sophomore <strong>Sophia Yousuf<\/strong> in the 200 IM (2:06.46).
