A standout for St. Charles North High School, McMillan has built a reputation as one of Illinois&#8217; most dynamic sprint butterflyers and backstrokers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"1138\">In August, McMillan showcased his talent on the international stage at the World Junior Championships, where he clocked a 54.08 in the 100-meter butterfly (long course). Back home at the Illinois High School Association State Championships in February, McMillan posted a 47.74 in the 100-yard backstroke to take second place and a 46.52 in the 100-yard butterfly to capture the state title.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1140\" data-end=\"1541\">\n<p data-start=\"1142\" data-end=\"1541\">After careful consideration, I am excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at North Carolina State University. I am very grateful to my friends, family, and coaches at scst\/scn for all their support. I would also like to thank Coach Braden and the rest of the staff for providing me with this incredible opportunity.
