{"id":625388,"date":"2025-10-26T17:06:59","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T00:06:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=625388"},"modified":"2025-10-26T17:09:17","modified_gmt":"2025-10-27T00:09:17","slug":"twenty-four-selected-to-netherlands-team-for-european-s-c-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/twenty-four-selected-to-netherlands-team-for-european-s-c-championships\/","title":{"rendered":"Twenty-Four Qualify For Netherlands Team For European s\/c Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Twenty-Four Qualify For Netherlands Team For European s\/c Championships<\/h4>\n<p>Twenty-four swimmers have qualified to represent the Netherlands at the short-course Europeans in December following the conclusion of the Dutch Championships and World Cup series.<\/p>\n<p>The final day of competition in Rotterdam saw <strong>Arno Kamminga<\/strong> win the 200m breaststroke by more than 2.5secs in 2:04.05 to complete the 100\/200 double as he finishes the three-day event with QTs in all three breaststroke events. He&#8217;ll be joined in all three by <strong>Caspar Corbeau<\/strong> who became the first man inside 2mins for the 200 when he went 1:59.52 at the final World Cup stop in Toronto. Luca Janssen also made the team for the European Short Course Championships which take place in Lublin, Poland, from 2-7 December.<\/p>\n<p>Corbeau will also compete in the 100IM, one of three swimmers to take on an four-event programme along with\u00a0<strong>Marrit Steenbergen<\/strong> who qualified for the 50\/100\/200 free and 100IM thanks to her performances on the World Cup circuit. <strong>Tessa Giele<\/strong> is slated for the 50 and 100 fly, the 50 breast and 100IM. That follows her 56.53 100 fly on the final day.<\/p>\n<p>In Rotterdam, <strong>Tiago Gomes<\/strong> made the 200 free cut in 1:45.42 to add to the 400 and 800 free while <strong>Milou van Wijk<\/strong> completed the 100\/200 double in 1:56.28 and heads to Poland in the 50\/100\/200 free.<\/p>\n<p>Swimmers who&#8217;ve qualified to represent the Netherlands at the European Short Course
