Sydney to Host Water Polo World Cup Finals in 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

World Aquatics announced on Thursday that Sydney, Australia, will host the 2026 Water Polo World Cup Finals for both men and women.<\/p>\n

The event will be held July 20-26, a tournament between eight men\u2019s and eight women\u2019s national teams in the capital of New South Wales.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the first time that the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, host of the 2000 Olympics, will host this particular event, and the first time a World Aquatics event has come to Sydney since 2011. Sydney was the location of the first participation of women\u2019s water polo on the Olympic stage, with the home country Australians defeating the United States for gold.<\/p>\n
