{"id":624663,"date":"2025-10-17T13:01:10","date_gmt":"2025-10-17T20:01:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=624663"},"modified":"2025-10-17T13:01:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T20:01:10","slug":"drury-men-tampa-women-lead-cscaa-division-ii-poll","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/drury-men-tampa-women-lead-cscaa-division-ii-poll\/","title":{"rendered":"Drury Men, Tampa Women Lead CSCAA Division II Poll"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Drury Men, Tampa Women Lead CSCAA Division II Poll<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Drury men\u2019s team and Tampa women are atop the first CSCAA Division II Top 25 dual meet poll of the 2025-26 season, <a href=\"https:\/\/cscaa.org\/drury-men-and-tampa-women-claim-top-spots-in-october-division-ii-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">released on Friday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Drury led the way on the men\u2019s side with 240 points, two points ahead of the University of Tampa. At NCAAs last year, Drury had topped Tampa by 74 points for the title <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/drury-university-must-vacate-division-ii-championship-because-of-ncaa-violation-of-caffeine-level\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">before having to vacate the title due to a violation of NCAA policies by a swimmer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/ncaa-division-ii-coverage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NCAA Division II Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Third is the University of Indianapolis, which finished fifth at NCAAs last year and is off to a 4-0 start this season. Grand Valley was fourth, followed by Colorado Mesa. McKendree, which landed third at NCAAs last year, is sixth in the opening poll. Colorado Mesa finished a distant ninth at NCAAs last year.<\/p>\n<p>On the women\u2019s side, Tampa is atop the pool with 247 points, four ahead of Colorado Mesa. UIndy is third.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a wholesale rearrangement of last year\u2019s NCAAs finish. Tampa finished sixth at NCAAs, with CMU third and Indy fourth. Reigning NCAA champion Nova Southeastern is fifth, a spot behind Grand Valley. Drury, which placed second at NCAAs, is ranked sixth.<\/p>\n<p>The poll is voted on by a committee of coaches. Considerations are for head-to-head dual meets.
