Notably, the University of Virginia will send an impressive group to Westmont (Ill.), with the school&#8217;s college athletes set to race alongside the pro group that excelled during the first stop.<\/p>\n<p>UVA, which has won the past five NCAA women&#8217;s championships, will send the likes of Katie Grimes, Anna Moesch and Sara Curtis to the World Cup&#8217;s second meet. Moesch recently clocked a 1:41 performance in the 200-yard freestyle, so seeing what the sophomore standout can do in a short-course meters format will be interesting. In Carmel, Virginia&#8217;s professionals were sensational, as Gretchen Walsh and Kate Douglass earned three victories each, with Alex Walsh adding a title in the 200 individual medley.<\/p>\n<p>Although her name remains on the entry lists for Westmont, which will host from Friday through Sunday, Canadian superstar Summer McIntosh has announced that she is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/summer-mcintosh-to-miss-rest-of-world-cup-with-illness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">withdrawing from the Westmont and Toronto stops<\/a> while battling illness. McIntosh initially withdrew from the Carmel leg, with the hopes of being healthy enough to race at the second and third legs.<\/p>\n<p>Heading into the second meet of the tour, Walsh sits atop the women&#8217;s points standings while Hungary&#8217;s Hubert Kos leads the men&#8217;s standings. Walsh set a world record in the 50 butterfly in Carmel while Kos swept the backstroke events.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/world-cup-westmont-entry-lists-international-elite-2025-10-17.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Entry Lists<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Entry Lists Released for Westmont Stop of World Cup Circuit;
