Nebraska topped South Dakota in the other women\u2019s meet.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Men\u2019s Scores<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Minnesota 196, South Dakota 47<\/li>\n<li><strong>Women\u2019s Scores<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Minnesota 198, South Dakota 44<\/li>\n<li>Minnesota 189, Nebraska 53<\/li>\n<li>Nebraska 182, South Dakota 60<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Minnesota went 1-2 in all but two events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katie McCarthy<\/strong> led the onslaught for the Golden Gophers, going 9:57.75 to win the 1,000 freestyle and 4:51.80 to claim the 500 free. McCarthy also scored a win in the 200 individual medley with her time of 2:03.36.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gophersports.com\/documents\/2025\/10\/11\/meet_results_minnesota_vs_usd_vs_nebraska.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-ten-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big Ten Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Minnesota won both relays. <strong>Morgan Thomas<\/strong> and <strong>Livi Wanner<\/strong> swam on both quartets, the 200 medley going 1:39.90 and the 200 free clocking in at 1:32.30. Thomas\u2019s time of 22.67 edged Wanner to the win in the 50 free. <strong>Elna Widerstrom<\/strong> swept both diving events, with teammate <strong>Viviana Del Angel Peniche<\/strong> second both times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jade Roghair<\/strong> (200 free), <strong>Rachel Conley<\/strong> (200 fly), <strong>Mina Kaljevic<\/strong> (100 free), <strong>Finnly Jollands<\/strong> (200 back) and <strong>Kiera Mullins<\/strong> (200 breast) added wins for Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p>The only interruption of the Minnesota top-two dominance was Nebraska\u2019s <strong>Gena Jorgenson.<\/strong> She finished second in the 500 free, .08 seconds behind McCarthy. She was also second in the 1,000 free, less than 1.5 seconds behind McCarthy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ryan Slonac<\/strong> led the men\u2019s side in the win, showing his versatility. He went 20.39 to win the 50 free, then 1:46.66 to claim the 200 back. Slonac anchored the winning 200 free relay that included 200 fly winner <strong>Jacob Johnson<\/strong> (1:47.25).
