The SMU women beat North Texas 193.5-99.5 while also taking victories over Incarnate Word (204-90) and Oklahoma Christian (208-79). The men&#8217;s team won 186-83 over Incarnate Word while defeating Oklahoma Christian 194-74.<\/p>\n<p>The SMU women opened the meet with a win from <strong>Jimena Leal<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Izzy Krantzcke<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Cassidy Allison<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Maddy Parker<\/strong> in the 200 medley relay in 1:40.85.\u00a0<strong>Madeleine Herbert<\/strong> then won the 1000 freestyle (10:14.46), and\u00a0<strong>Summer Osborne<\/strong> took first in the 200 free (1:47.02). Leal was victorious in the 100 backstroke (53.71), and\u00a0<strong>Krantzcke<\/strong> topped the 100 breaststroke (1:03.21).\u00a0<strong>Anne Marie Vlaic<\/strong> dominated the 200 butterfly (2:00.19).<\/p>\n<p>Parker was the top performer in the 50 free, winning by almost a half-second in 22.84, while Osborne returned to the pool to grab first in the 100 free (49.24). Leah won again in the 200 back (1:57.74), and Krantzcke became the third SMU double-winner in the 200 breast (2:17.39). Herbert joined the list in the 500 free (4:57.34), as did Vlaic in the 100 fly (55.16).<\/p>\n<p>Only one swimmer would win all three of her events, and that was Krantzcke, who went 2:05.17 for an easy victory in the 200 IM. Parker, Herbert,\u00a0<strong>Chloe Corbin<\/strong> and Osborne combined to win the 400 free relay in 3:21.86. In diving,\u00a0<strong>Macey Opplinger<\/strong> won 3-meter (300.15) while North Texas claimed a lone win on 1-meter from\u00a0<strong>Sydney Guidara<\/strong> (274.35).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/college\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">More college swimming news<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side, the Southern Methodist team of <strong>Thad Austin<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Kristaps Mikelsons<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nico Sobenes<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Sage Sungail<\/strong> won the 200 medley relay in 1:28.22 before\u00a0<strong>Jack Forrest<\/strong> pulled away for first in the 1000 free (9:13.62).\u00a0<strong>Francis Brennan<\/strong> was victorious by a second in the 200 free (1:35.74), and\u00a0<strong>Jack Berube<\/strong> grabbed the 100 back (47.69). Mikelsons came in first in the 100 breast (54.51), followed by <strong>Ryan Peckham<\/strong> taking out the 200 fly (1:48.85).<\/p>\n<p>SMU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Luke Sitz<\/strong> dominated 1-meter diving (370.25), and teammate\u00a0<strong>RJ Snyder<\/strong> won on 3-meter (326.00). <strong>Benjamin Chateigner<\/strong> won the first event after the diving break, clocking 43.72 in the 100 free.\u00a0<strong>Andy Baklanov<\/strong> cruised in the 200 back (1:44.44) before\u00a0<strong>Joe Umhofer<\/strong> used a strong second half to finish clear of the field in the 200 breast (2:00.21).<\/p>\n<p>Forrest completed the distance sweep with his time of 4:25.19 in the 500 free, and <strong>Aidan Arie<\/strong> grabbed first in the 100 fly (48.87). The 200 IM went to Baklanov (1:49.63), and the meet ended with Brennan, Chateigner, Sungail and\u00a0<strong>Eli Likins<\/strong> combining for a time of 3:54.86 in the 400 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>Incarnate Word&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Luis De Oliveira<\/strong> picked up a win in the 50 free in 20.06, the only victory on the men&#8217;s side from a non-SMU athlete.<\/p>\n<p><a
