Of the top six streaks on the list, five were swimming runs &#8211; including the top three. Not surprising, the list is headed by the Carmel (Ind.) High School girls swimming team, which has won 39 consecutive state titles in the Hoosier state.<\/p>\n<p>Carmel started its streak in 1987 and has established itself as the premier scholastic program in the nation, regardless of sport. Not only have the Greyhounds won 39 straight championships, they have also been crowned national champions by Swimming World on several occasions. Coach Chris Plumb oversees a dynasty in Indiana, and his program will chase a 40th straight title in February.<\/p>\n<p>The second spot on the MaxPreps list of state-championship streaks is shared by powerhouse boys swim programs. The Bolles School (Fla.) and St. Xavier (Ky.) have reigned for 37 years each. Bolles&#8217; championship stretch started in 1988 while St. Xavier opened its run in 1989. Bolles competes in the fall and will try to make it 38 straight championships this November. As for St. Xavier, it will try to extend its dominance during the winter campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The Bolles girls also appeared on the list, having won 34 consecutive state championships, while Lander Valley (Wyo.) has won 29 straight boys state titles.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maxpreps.com\/news\/kW_MSI0CbE28ldo-8Rpe3Q\/longest-active-high-school-sports-state-championship-streaks.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MaxPreps Article\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Carmel High Girls Lead Nation with Longest State-Championship Streak;
