The announcement revealed that the University of Virginia&#8217;s Todd DeSorbo has been named the 2025 winner of the George Haines Coach of the Year Award. DeSorbo was joined as a finalist by Bob Bowman, Dave Durden, Anthony Nesty and Braden Holloway.<\/p>\n<p>DeSorbo led the University of Virginia to a fifth consecutive women&#8217;s team title at the NCAA Championships and placed several athletes on American rosters for international events, notably the World Championships and World University Games. At the World Championships, Kate Douglass, Gretchen Walsh, Alex Walsh, Claire Curzan and Anna Moesch earned medals after being guided by DeSorbo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/virginiasports.com\/coach\/todd-desorbo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The DeSorbo File<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Other honors from ASCA went to:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>ASCA Fitter &amp; Faster Age Group Coach of the Year Winners<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Small Teams Division: Connie Wu &#8211; Stamford Sailfish Aquatic Club &#8211;\u00a0 CT<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Medium Teams Division:\u00a0 Brian Pajer &#8211; Aquazot Swim Team &#8211; CA<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Large Teams Division:\u00a0 Peter O\u2019Donnell &#8211; Long Island Aquatic Club &#8211; MR<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Impact Coach Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nicole Cicalo-DeCaro, Bergen Barracudas Swim Team<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>This award recognizes swimming coaches who have committed extraordinary time and energy to positively impact the lives of others
