The event takes place September 27 in Denver, Colorado, and will be the 22nd year the celebratory awards show has run.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s ballot features five awards: Female Athlete of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year, Open Water Athlete of the Year, and Relay Performance of the Year. The University of Virginia women\u2019s swim program is well-represented, with Kate Douglass, Gretchen Walsh, and coach Todd DeSorbo earning nominations, while the men\u2019s ballot is headlined by University of Texas products Luke Hobson, Shaine Casas, and coach Bob Bowman.<\/p>\n<p>Fans can vote using the online ballot\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/2025GGA\" data-sf-ec-immutable=\"\">here<\/a>. Fan voting is open now through August 22 at 11:59 p.m. MT.<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from the Golden Goggle Awards benefit the USA Swimming Foundation, whose mission is to Save Lives, Build Champions, and Impact Communities. In addition to providing learn-to-swim grants and community impact grants to programs across the country, the USA Swimming Foundation supports the U.S. National Team and its development efforts aimed
