Junior Nationals Day 2: Ian Call Breaks Meet Record in 50 Breaststroke<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The 2025 U.S Junior National Championships continued from Irvine, California, with the Day 2 finals.<\/p>\n

The lineup for the second day includes the 100 freestyle, 400 IM and 50 breaststroke.<\/p>\n

Here is a look at what happened on Day 2:<\/p>\n

Junior Nationals: Women’s 100 Freestyle<\/h2>\n

Pleasanton Seahawks’ Liberty Clark<\/strong> dropped nearly a full second to claim the 100 free title. The 17-year-old got to thew all in 54.41.<\/p>\n

Beach Cities’ Gabi Brito<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0took the silver in 55.49, ahead of Bellevue’s Heather White<\/strong> (55.51).<\/p>\n

Patriot Aquatics’ Aria Grossbach<\/strong> took fourth in 55.77, followed by Lakeside’s Kenndi Southern<\/strong> (55.91), Orinda’s Stella Canoles (<\/strong>55.99), Metro Atlanta’s Sarah Paisley<\/strong> (56.09) and Lakeside’s Lily Andruss<\/strong> (56.47).<\/p>\n

Mason Manta Rays’ Jason Zhao<\/strong> held off Enzo Solitario<\/strong> in the 100 free. Zhao won in 49.32, ahead of Solitario (49.73) for the gold.<\/p>\n
Neptune’s Finn Brophy<\/strong> took third in 50.11, followed by Hornet’s Luke Vatev<\/strong> (50.14), Mason Manta Rays’ Brady Campbell<\/strong> (50.19), Pleasanton Seahawks’ Tim Wu<\/strong> (50.42), Sierra Marlins’ Brody Chandler<\/strong> (50.45) and West Fargo’s Brody Engelstad<\/strong> (50.94).<\/p>\n

La Mirada Armada’s Kayla Han<\/strong> took second in 4:43.06 and Scarlet Aquatics’ Chloe Kim<\/strong> took the bronze in 4:43.32.<\/p>\n
Tideriders’ Sydney Schoek<\/strong> was fourth in 4:43.43, ahead of Pleasanton’s Teagan O’Dell<\/strong> (4:48.30), Long Island’s Una Diaz<\/strong> (4:52.09), Razorback’s Hayden Gibson<\/strong> (4:52.43) and SwimMAC’s Avery Klamforth<\/strong> (4:54.27).<\/p>\n

Long Island Aquatics’s Sean Green<\/strong> continued his strong meet with a win in the 400 IM. He got to the wall in 4:15.53, besting the field by three seconds.<\/p>\n
Carmel’s Yi Zheng<\/strong> finished second in 4:18.55, ahead of Gwinnett’s Baylor Stanton<\/strong> (4:19.48).<\/p>\n
West Coast Aquatics’ Syunta Lee<\/strong> was fourth in 4:20.69, followed by SwimMAC’s David Sammons<\/strong> (4:22.26), Marlins of Raleigh’s Ian Stutts<\/strong> (4:22.28), La Marada Armada’s Anthony Dornoff<\/strong> (4:25.52) and SwimMAC’s Eli Sweet<\/strong> (4:27.06).<\/p>\n
