Greater Somerset is second (149), followed by York (104), Upper Main Line (94) and Lakeland Hills (88).<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s meet, Lakeland Hills and Upper Main Line are tied for the lead with 138 points. Jersey Shore is third with 113.5, followed by Spartanburg (101) and Powel Crosley (94.5).<\/p>\n<p>Here is a look at what happened on the first night:<\/p>\n<h2>YMCA Championships: Women&#8217;s 200 Butterfly<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Serena Dickey<\/strong> of Lakeland Hills (N.J.) claimed victory in the 200 fly to open the first night of finals. The 16-year-old finished in 2:16.31.<\/p>\n<p>Farmington Valley (Connecticut) 18-year-old <strong>Erin Richards<\/strong> took second in 2:17.20.<\/p>\n<p>Third place went to Jersey Shore&#8217;s <strong>Maya Freema<\/strong>n in 2:17.92, followed by Triangle Area&#8217;s <strong>Aubrey<\/strong> <strong>Mitchell<\/strong> (2:18.64), Lakeland Hills&#8217; <strong>Anna Kilponen<\/strong> (2:18.92), Upper Main Line&#8217;s (Pennsylvania) <strong>Ellie McNamara<\/strong> (2:19.60), York&#8217;s <strong>Molly Yacoviello<\/strong> (2:21.11) and Pocono&#8217;s<strong> Sydney Wolbert<\/strong> (2:21.25).<\/p>\n<h2>YMCA Championships: Men&#8217;s 200 Butterfly<\/h2>\n<p>Farmington Valley&#8217;s<strong> Jon Rusnock<\/strong> put together a dominating performance in the 200 butterfly, touching the wall in 2:02.61 to hold off the field by nearly four seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Wilton (Connecticut) swimmer <strong>Evan VanVelzo<\/strong>r took second in 2:06.11.<\/p>\n<p>Rays&#8217; <strong>Gray Reiger<\/strong> was third in 2:06.83, followed by York&#8217;s <strong>Roman Torres<\/strong> (2:07.27), Cheshire&#8217;s (Connecticut) <strong>Brayden Hale<\/strong> (2:07.47), Greater Somerset&#8217;s (N.J.) <strong>Lucas Abd<\/strong> (2:07.48), Greater Somerset&#8217;s <strong>Max Ruffer<\/strong> (2:07.51) and Lynchburg&#8217;s (Virginia) <strong>Hudson Rice<\/strong> (2:07.82) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>YMCA Championships: Women&#8217;s 50 Breaststroke<\/h2>\n<p>Spartanburg South Carolina&#8217;s <strong>Grace Hunt<\/strong> claimed the 50 breaststroke victory, getting to the wall in 32.89.<\/p>\n<p>Lakeland Hills&#8217; <strong>Alexia Davies<\/strong> was second in 33.53, followed by Powel Crosley&#8217;s <strong>Corine Rieskamp<\/strong> (33.55), Randolph&#8217;s (N.J.) <strong>Morgan Mindrebo<\/strong> (33.68), Rays&#8217; <strong>Ava Haese<\/strong> (33.71), Western Connecticut&#8217;s <strong>Alexa Kwarcinski<\/strong> (33.79), Jersey Shore&#8217;s <strong>Emma Price<\/strong> (33.81) and Lakeland Hills&#8217; <strong>Sofia Keller<\/strong> (34.08).<\/p>\n<h2>YMCA Championships: Men&#8217;s 50 Breaststroke<\/h2>\n<p>Triangle Area&#8217;s<strong> Evan Hepburn<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 50 breast, getting to the wall in 28.96.<\/p>\n<p>Upper Main Line&#8217;s <strong>Sebastian Tith<\/strong> was second in 29.14, followed by Spartanburg&#8217;s <strong>Owen Harmon<\/strong> (29.43), York&#8217;s <strong>Kaden Fatta<\/strong> (29.49), Spartanburg&#8217;s <strong>Maddex Ternes<\/strong> (29.59), Upper Main Line&#8217;s <strong>Finn Lukens<\/strong> (29.68), Lakeland Hills&#8217; <strong>Stefan Yousuf<\/strong> (29.82) and Jersey Shore&#8217;s <strong>Andrew Petersen<\/strong> (29.85).<\/p>\n<h2>YMCA Championships: Women&#8217;s 100 Freestyle<\/h2>\n<p>Oshkosh Wisconsin&#8217;s <strong>Kiersten Dietschweiler<\/strong> was one of two swimmers to break 58 seconds in the women&#8217;s 100 free. She got to the wall in 57.71 to earn the victory.<\/p>\n<p>Powel Crosley&#8217;s <strong>Cora Spetz<\/strong> finished second in 57.76, followed by Western Connecticut&#8217;s <strong>Mia<\/strong> <strong>Hatzis<\/strong> (58.04), Powel Crosley&#8217;s <strong>Isabelle Schroeder<\/strong> (58.26), Fanwood Scotch&#8217;s (N.J.) <strong>Jane<\/strong> <strong>Kavanagh<\/strong> (58.29), Wyckoff New Jersey&#8217;s<strong> Jessie Wolf<\/strong> (58.36), Greater Somerset&#8217;s <strong>Caylee Smith<\/strong> (58.40) and Jersey Shore&#8217;s<strong> Katherine Kennedy<\/strong> (58.43).<\/p>\n<h2>YMCA Championships: Men&#8217;s 100 Freestyle<\/h2>\n<p>Greater Somerset&#8217;s <strong>Kenneth Barnicle<\/strong> raced to victory in the 100 free, touching in 50.12, dropping more than a half second from prelims.<\/p>\n<p>Rays&#8217; <strong>Jonathan Hoole<\/strong> finished second in 50.57, followed by Spartanburg&#8217;s <strong>Jimmy Beeson<\/strong> (50.90), Ternes (51.39), Lakeland Hills&#8217; <strong>Connor Johnson<\/strong> (51.90), Greater Somerset&#8217;s <strong>Domingo Gatti<\/strong> (52.10), Indian Valley Connecticut&#8217;s<strong> Ben Pope<\/strong> (52.24) and Spartanburg&#8217;s <strong>Wade Chandgie<\/strong> (52.48).<\/p>\n<h2>YMCA Championships: Women&#8217;s 200 Medley Relay<\/h2>\n<p>Lakeland Hills took the win in 1:57.06, dropping more than two seconds from prelims.<\/p>\n<p>Cheshire earned second place in 1:57.49, followed by Jersey Shore (1:57.53), York (1:58.53), Spartanburg (2:00.25), Lowes (2:00.35), Powel Crosley (2:01.65) and Upper Main Line (2:01.88).<\/p>\n<h2>YMCA Championships: Men&#8217;s 200 Medley Relay<\/h2>\n<p>Spartanburg claimed the men&#8217;s victory in 1:43.53 to hold off Greater Somerset (1:44.05).<\/p>\n<p>Triangle Area took third in 1:44.18, followed by Lakeland Hills (1:45.25), Indian Valley (1:45.90), Jersey Shore (1:46.80), York (1:47.00) and Powel Crosley (1:47.89).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2025 YMCA National Long Course Swimming Championships kicked off on Tuesday in Ocala, Florida.
