Ayden Tan Adds Multiple 11-12 NAG Records to Resume<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ayden Tan<\/strong> (SRVA) continued his steady rise through the age\u2011group ranks with another record\u2011setting swim in California. This month, he added a new line to the record book and moved the standard forward.<\/p>\n

At the 2025 TYR GO International Challenge in Fresno, Tan clocked 2:12.80 in the 200\u2011meter individual medley. With that swim, he lowered the boys 11\u201312 National Age Group record. Richard Poplawski<\/strong> set the previous mark, 2:13.59, in 2019.<\/p>\n

The new time now stands as the fastest 200 IM ever recorded in the age group. Moreover, it improved the national standard by nearly eight\u2011tenths. For a four\u2011stroke event at this level, that margin is significant.<\/p>\n

Tan (SRVA) trains in Pacific Swimming with San Ramon Valley Aquatics<\/strong>, where coaches emphasize precision and pacing. As a result of his training, he continues to execute controlled, technically sound races across all four strokes.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, Northern California\u2019s schedule features Far Westerns<\/strong> and the Western Zone Championships<\/strong>. If Tan maintains this form, further drops seem possible. Even so, this record already underscores a remarkable season for the SRVA standout.<\/p>\n
