Officials selected him as one of only four swimmers from the region to compete on the national stage. The <strong data-start=\"840\" data-end=\"878\">Simon Keenan Special Olympics 2026<\/strong> selection highlights both his athletic excellence and his leadership.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"950\" data-end=\"1159\">He joined the <strong data-start=\"964\" data-end=\"989\">East Bay Sea Serpents<\/strong> at age six and has spent the last nine years training, growing, and competing. Known for his focus and positive attitude, Simon brings energy to every practice and meet.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1161\" data-end=\"1385\">\n<p data-start=\"1163\" data-end=\"1385\">\u201cSimon shows us what determination and community spirit look like,\u201d said <strong data-start=\"1236\" data-end=\"1259\">Coach Brian Wentzel<\/strong>, who will also head to Minneapolis as part of the NorCal coaching staff. \u201cHe leads by example and lifts everyone around him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"1387\" data-end=\"1696\">Beyond the pool, Simon stays incredibly active. He performs in Miramonte\u2019s <strong data-start=\"1462\" data-end=\"1489\">musical theater program<\/strong>, plays <strong data-start=\"1497\" data-end=\"1528\">Special Olympics basketball<\/strong>, and wrestles on the <strong data-start=\"1550\" data-end=\"1573\">junior varsity team<\/strong>.
