Niagara Hires Matt Bosse as New Swimming Boss<\/strong><\/p>\n

Niagara University on Wednesday announced the hiring of Simon Bosse<\/strong> as the new head coach of men\u2019s and women\u2019s swimming.<\/p>\n

Bosse brings a half-decade of coaching experience and familiarity with the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference from his days as an undergraduate at Iona.<\/p>\n

“I’m excited to join the Niagara University community,\u201d Bosse said in a university press release<\/a>. \u201cI would like to thank Simon Gray, Dedra Palmer, and everyone who was involved with the search committee for this opportunity. I’m thrilled to be able to help our student-athletes build upon their recent success, in the classroom and pool. Being on campus I could tell that Niagara has a lot to offer!\u201d<\/p>\n

Bosse swam at Iona for four seasons, graduating in 2019. He coached for two years at Wilmington College in Ohio as an assistant before a season as an assistant at Fairfield University and two at Towson. In Maryland, he served as an assistant for the men\u2019s and women\u2019s teams as well as the recruiting coordinator. The Tigers won 11 CAA event titles and one relay title under Bosse at Towson, including NCAA runner-up<\/a> Brian Benzing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“The upward trajectory of Niagara Swimming attracted several strong candidates for this critical leadership role,\u201d Niagara Associate Vice President for Athletics Simon Gray<\/strong> said. “We are excited that Matt Bosse will be our next head coach because of his recruiting and coaching experiences and, importantly, his dedication to developing student-athletes.
