Goals by Ausmus and <strong>Jovana Sekulic<\/strong> gave the U.S. a 9-5 lead late in the third quarter. When <strong>Simone van der Kraats<\/strong> got the Dutch within 10-8 with 6:43 left, <strong>Emma Lineback<\/strong> had a ready answer. <strong>Amanda Longan<\/strong> backed the effort with eight saves.<\/p>\n<p>Lineback scored on both of her shots. <strong>Ryann Neushul<\/strong> added two goals.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/total-waterpolo.com\/world-championships-singapore-2025-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2025 World Championships Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-u-s-routs-china-hungary-edges-greece-to-open-womens-water-polo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 1 Women&#8217;s Water Polo Recap<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Lieke Rogge<\/strong> led Netherlands with three goals. Van de Kraats scored twice, but the U.S. limited her to 2-for-8 shooting. The U.S. has six points to lead Group B, with bottom-of-the-group Argentina next in the opening round.<\/p>\n<p>China got its first win with a 29-9 decision over Argentina. <strong>Sanfeng Nong<\/strong> led the way with four goals and five assists. <strong>Yixin Shao<\/strong> shot 4-for-4 and added three assists, and <strong>Shang Zhou<\/strong> also scored four times.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere on the third day at the OCBC Aquatic Centre and second day of women\u2019s play, Australia pulled out a 19-15 slugfest over Italy. <strong>Alice Williams<\/strong> orchestrated the onslaught with four goals and five assists. <strong>Abby Andrews<\/strong> added five and two, and <strong>Charlize Andrews<\/strong> and <strong>Tilly Kearns<\/strong> each tallied hat tricks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chiara Ranalli<\/strong> led Italy with six goals, as the Italians fall to third in Group A.<\/p>\n<p>Hungary turned up its offense with a 33-13 win over Japan, converting its 42 shots at a 79 percent rate. <strong>Vanda Valyi<\/strong> couldn\u2019t miss, shooting 6-for-6 with three assists. <strong>Kata Hajdu<\/strong> scored seven goals and two assists, <strong>Natasa Rybanska<\/strong> was a perfect 5-for-5 shooting and <strong>Rita Keszthelyi<\/strong> tossed in five goals and five assists.<\/p>\n<p>Greece also hit 30 goals in a 31-7 thumping of Croatia. <strong>Stefania Santa<\/strong> lit it up with five goals and six assists, while <strong>Foteini Tricha<\/strong> had five and three. <strong>Vasiliki Plevritou<\/strong> shot 4-for-4.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cassidy Bell<\/strong> made eight saves as Great Britain shut down South Africa, 12-3. <strong>Lily Turner<\/strong> scored four goals. <strong>Toula Falvey<\/strong> and <strong>Harriet Dickens<\/strong> contributed hat tricks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mariona Terre<\/strong> and <strong>Martina Terre<\/strong> combined for eight saves as Spain limited France to one goal after halftime in a 23-6 romp. <strong>Anni Espar<\/strong> (two goals) and <strong>Bea Ortiz<\/strong> (one goal) dished four assists each. <strong>Elena Ruiz<\/strong> scored four
