Hawaii Adds Ashley Dyer as Assistant Coach<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hawaii on Thursday announced the hiring of Ashley Dyer<\/strong> as an assistant coach for the men\u2019s and women\u2019s swimming and diving team.<\/p>\n

Dyer swam at the University of Mary Washington, a two-time team captain and a conference champion in the 1,650 freestyle for the Division III program. She graduated in 2024 with a bachelor\u2019s degree in psychology with a minor in sports management and added her master\u2019s degree in business administration.<\/p>\n

She has coached since 2021 with the Stingrays USA Swim Team, a USA Swimming Bronze Medal club in 2024. She interned with Mary Washington\u2019s swim team staff and coached at camps hosted by the University of Virginia, Texas A&M and Texas. The native of Chesterfield, Va., spent three seasons as an assistant coach for her summer league club, Woodlake hurricanes, before taking over as the head coach in 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur program is honored to bring Coach Ashley Dyer to the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex,\u201d head coach Steve Allnutt<\/strong> said in a press release<\/a>. \u201cShe will assist our team while pursuing her graduate studies in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Sciences at UH-Manoa. Though Ashley just finished her competitive career last season, she has already put together varied and extensive coaching experience at the club and college level, in addition to working across the country at various elite swim camps.
