Andi Manley Named Team England Head Coach At 2026 Commonwealth Games<\/h4>\n

Andi Manley<\/strong> – who has overseen Daniel Wiffen’s<\/strong> rise to the Olympic pinnacle – has been named Team England<\/strong> head coach for the 2026 Commonwealth Games<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Manley currently leads the Loughborough University swimming programme as Director of Swimming, where he’s guided the Wiffen brothers – Daniel and Nathan – and Felix Auboeck,\u00a0<\/strong>among others.<\/p>\n

He will now lead Team England\u2019s coaches and swimmers in Glasgow next year, four years after Birmingham 2022 where Australia finished top of the medal table with 65, one place and 33 medals ahead of England and their 32 honours.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an immense honour to be named Head Coach for England\u2019s Commonwealth Games swimming and para swimming team,\u201d Manley said.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy focus will be on supporting coaches, swimmers and support staff to be the very best they can be as we strive for success on the podium in Glasgow. An important part of my role will be creating an environment where every athlete and member of staff can thrive, backed by world-class preparation and a unified team culture. We\u2019re not just working towards 2026 \u2013 we\u2019re building a foundation for sustained success in the years to come.”<\/p>\n

Swim England\u2019s Head of Performance and Team Leader for Team England\u2019s Swimming and Para Swimming squads in Glasgow, Richard Blackshaw<\/strong>, added: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to welcome Andi as Head Coach for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.<\/p>\n
