Second was <strong>Caroline Bricker<\/strong> in 2:11.90, with <strong>Lucy Bell<\/strong> third in 2:12.00. Huske was more than a second ahead at the 150-meter wall but held off the charge by her Cardinal teammates. Another Cardinal, <strong>Emily Thomas,<\/strong> was fourth.<\/p>\n<p>Huske capped the night by going 25.43 to win the 50 free. She bested another former Stanford swimmer in <strong>Taylor Ruck,<\/strong> who went 25.52. (Ruck has been quicker in 25.40 in prelims.) France\u2019s <strong>Marie Wattel<\/strong> was third in 25.67, and <strong>Caroline Bentz<\/strong> placed fourth took third in 25.81.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gomotionapp.com\/team\/azjccssc\/page\/legacy?url=%2FEventShow.jsp%3FreturnPage%3D%252FEventsCurrent.jsp%253Fteam%253Dazjccssc%26id%3D1600640%26team%3Dazjccssc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sun Devil Open Meet Information<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/usa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">US Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also on the Stanford front, <strong>Bailey O\u2019Regan<\/strong> won the 400 freestyle in 4:17.07, three seconds ahead of <strong>Alexa Reyna<\/strong> of Arizona State. O\u2019Regan was second in the 1500 freestyle, behind winner <strong>Paige Downey,<\/strong> who went 16:51.41.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> went 27.31 to win the 50 breaststroke, the opening event of the first night session at his training base, the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center. Aruban international <strong>Mikel Schreuders<\/strong> was second in 27.54. Arizona State swimmer <strong>Andy Dobrzanski<\/strong> set a best time by nearly four tenths in finishing third in 27.66.<\/p>\n<p>He nearly added a second win to finish the night, going 22.25 in the 50 free. That was second to <strong>Jonny Kulow\u2019s<\/strong> time of 22.04, within two tenths of his best time of 21.87. <strong>Jack Dolan<\/strong> finished third in 22.40, .01 ahead of Schreuders. <strong>Ilya Kharun<\/strong> was fifth in 22.61.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lucy Thomas<\/strong> won the women\u2019s 50 breaststroke in 31.22 seconds, three tenths ahead of <strong>Eleni Gewalt.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ashton Joswiak<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 1,500 free in 16:30.04, besting fellow 16-year-old <strong>Kevin Foley,<\/strong> who set a best time of 16:32.67. <strong>Ian Pickles<\/strong> set a best time in the 400 free to win in 3:58.96.
