Men Into Sydney Open and Unisport Nationals"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><b>Olympic Champion Cam McEvoy Leads \u201cNext Gen\u201d Men Into Sydney Open And Unisport Nationals<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>\u00a0<\/b>Olympic 50m freestyle champion <b>Cam McEvoy<\/b> will spearhead a \u201cnext gen\u201d group of Aussie sprinters into this weekend\u2019s 2025 Sydney Open and Unisport Nationals Meet at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p1\">The 30-year-old father-to-be will line-up in his pet event the 50m freestyle and one of the latest additions to the LA28 program \u2013 the 50m butterfly.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p1\">McEvoy has already heralded his intentions \u2013 that he is not slowing down as he prepares for his final hit out before next month\u2019s Singapore World Championship Trials in Adelaide (June 9-14).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p1\">Despite a limited training program leading into the Australian racing season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p1\">The four-time Olympian winning both events at last month\u2019s Australian Open \u2013 the 50m freestyle in 21.46 \u2013 the third fastest time in the world this year \u2013 and the 50m butterfly in 23.09, ranking him eighth.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"GHepcQVlTC\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/australian-championships-day-3-finals-cam-mcevoy-unleashes-a-daddy-of-a-time-to-win-the-mens-50m-freestyle-title-in-21-48\/\">Australian Championships, Day 3 Finals: Cam McEvoy Unleashes A Daddy Of A Time To Win the Men\u2019s 50m Freestyle Title in 21.48<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; Coach <b>Chris Mooney<\/b>), who was 14<sup>th<\/sup> in Paris in 21.97.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p1\">McEvoy and Armbruster will be joined in the 50m freestyle by fellow Paris Olympians <b>Will Yang<\/b> (Sydney University, NSW; coach <b>Adam Kable<\/b>) and <b>Flynn Southam<\/b> (Bond, QLD; coach <b>Chris Mooney<\/b>) along with <b>Grayson Bell<\/b> (Somerville House, QLD; Coach <b>Tim Lane<\/b>) and Australian Age find <b>Ollie Moclair<\/b> (Cranbrook, NSW; coach <b>Bec Wheatley).<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p1\">McEvoy and Armbruster will line up in the 50m butterfly heats with fellow Australian Open finalists 17-year-old <b>Thomas Pattison<\/b> (Somerville House, QLD;
