Kwong and Verzyl were ahead of the pack in the prelim\/quarterfinal with 267.54 points, just under 15 points ahead of Witte and Sturgill.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/assets.contentstack.io\/v3\/assets\/blteb7d012fc7ebef7f\/bltf443ad27e7091965\/2025%20USA%20Diving%20National%20Championships%20Event%20Schedule.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USA Diving Nationals Schedule<\/a> (pdf)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/secure.meetcontrol.com\/divemeets\/system\/meetresultsext.php?meetnum=11547\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USA Diving Nationals Championships Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/diving\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Diving News<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/usa-diving-championships-bayleigh-cranford-wins-two-synchro-titles-in-first-two-days\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nationals Night 1\/2 Recap<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Kwong and Verzyl had just the fifth-best dive of the second round, which got Witte and Sturgill within 10 points. The chasing pairing delivered the highest-scoring dive of each of the last four rounds, slowly chipping away. They scored 66.36 on the final dive, with Kwong and Verzyl scoring 64.80 to exactly level the scores.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s any words that can really describe how this feels,\u201d Sturgill <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usadiving.org\/news\/2025\/may\/11\/co-champions-crowned-in-women-s-3-meter-synchro-hedberg-tyler-win-10-meter-synchro-at-2025-nationals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told USA Diving<\/a>. \u201cI mean, hitting the water after our last dive, I knew we needed to go big, and it was just a great feeling knowing we did that. Then they hit big. This is how it was meant to be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think we definitely knew we needed to hit it. After seeing them go, I definitely felt a little bit of nerves, but we just did what we had to do,\u201d Verzyl said. \u201cIt feels kind of weird, but I\u2019m happy that\u2019s it\u2019s them because we love them. We were literally sitting next to them the whole event just joking around. I wouldn\u2019t want to be up there with anyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taylor Fox<\/strong> and <strong>Hailey Hernandez<\/strong> finished third with a score of 515.88. <strong>Kyndal Knight<\/strong> and <strong>Krysta Palmer,<\/strong> who were third after quarterfinals, fell to fifth in the final.<\/p>\n<p>There was no such drama in the men\u2019s platform synchro, with <strong>Carson Tyler<\/strong> and <strong>Joshua Hedberg<\/strong> running away from the field. They scored 818.91 points, nearly 150 points ahead of the field of four pairings.
