Jake Foster, Coby Carrozza Among NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Recipients<\/strong><\/p>\n

Texas grads Jake Foster<\/strong> and Coby Carrozza<\/strong> were among the 42 winter athletes awarded Postgraduate Scholarships by the NCAA on Friday.<\/p>\n

The NCAA annually awards 126 postgraduate scholarships of $10,000, divided into 42 from each of the three sports seasons, with 21 men\u2019s athletes and 21 women\u2019s. The one-time, nonrenewable scholarships are for students completing their final year of athletic competition who \u201chave demonstrated outstanding academic achievements, athletic excellence and leadership within their communities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of the 42 winter honorees, 13 of the men\u2019s winners and 11 of the women are swimming and diving athletes. They include Foster, who began his medical school residency the week after competing<\/a> at U.S. Olympic Trials in the summer of 2024. Carrozza, an advertising major who competed as a grad student this year, has represented the United States international at a World Championships.<\/p>\n

The list of honorees includes Andrew Simmons<\/strong> of Auburn; Washington University St. Louis\u2019 Alex McCormick,<\/strong> the 2024 Division III champion in the 200 back<\/a>; Canadian international and All-American Nina Kucheran<\/strong> of Florida State; and Division II All-American Claire Conover<\/strong> of Drury.<\/p>\n
