Pergolini was second in 27.97 (she was 27.90 in the morning), followed by fellow American <strong>Grace Nuhfer<\/strong> in 28.15.<\/p>\n<p>Pergolini, an S13 swimmer, won the 100 back in 1:06.05. <strong>Mary Jibb<\/strong> of Canada was second, with <strong>Ellie Marks<\/strong> edging fellow American <strong>Julia Gaffney<\/strong> for third.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usparaswimming.org\/competitions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/paralympics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paraswimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/leanne-smith-improves-three-world-records-to-start-para-swimming-world-series-in-indy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Para Swimming World Series Night 1 Recap<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/morgan-ray-morgan-stickney-win-at-para-swimming-world-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Para Swimming World Series Night 2 Recap<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Gaffney went 3:01.81 to win the women\u2019s 200 individual medley. <strong>Mallory Weggemann<\/strong> was second, with Australian <strong>Kael Thompson<\/strong> besting countrywoman <strong>Lakeisha Patterson<\/strong> for third place. (<strong>Olivia Chambers<\/strong> had been fourth in prelims.) Australia\u2019s <strong>Emily Beecroft<\/strong> won the women\u2019s 100 fly ahead of Nuhfer, with Thompson third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jessica Long<\/strong> finished eighth in the 100 back, the S8 swimmer a spot behind Weggemann, who was also fourth in the 50 free. Long had been seventh in the prelims of the 100 fly. <strong>Summer Schmit<\/strong> finished sixth in the 200 IM and 12th in the 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Koehn Boyd<\/strong> picked up two medals. The S10 swimmer won the 100 fly in 56.59, ahead of countryman <strong>Lawrence Sapp.<\/strong> In the 200 IM, he went 2:12.70 to finish second to Australian SM14 <strong>Ricky Betar<\/strong> (2:12.53). Sapp was also second in the 100 back to <strong>Thomas Gallagher<\/strong> of Australia, who went 1:02.94.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simone Barlaam<\/strong> denied <strong>Gabriel Araujo<\/strong> another win, the Italian S9 swimmer going 24.99 to capture the men\u2019s 50 freestyle. Araujo, an S2 swimmer from Brazil, was second. Aussie <strong>Callum Simpson<\/strong> was third.
