RACHEL DiPasquale took first place in two events to lead the Seattle University women\u2019s swim team to a 144-60 victory over Central Washington University in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon in Ellensburg. The Seattle men were victorious 127-77, as the Redhawks swept the meet.<\/p>\n<p>DiPasquale (Jr., Renton, Wash.\/Kentridge HS) won the sprint freestyles to lead the women to victory. She took first in the 50-yard free in a time of 25.47 seconds, and followed that up by winning the 100-yard free in 54.74 seconds. The Redhawks finished 1-2-3 in the latter event.<\/p>\n<p>Seattle also pulled a 1-2-3 sweep in the 200-yard free. Kristen Michener (Jr., Sacramento, Calif.\/Loretto HS) led the way with a winning time of 1:57.88.<\/p>\n<p>The Redhawks won seven of the nine individual events and both relays in the women\u2019s competition. The winning Seattle relays were the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:53.60 and the 200-yard free relay in a time of 1:43.29.<\/p>\n<p>Erin Matthew (Fr., Bremerton, Wash.\/Central Kitsap HS) took first in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:15.36. Lydia Woodwall (Sr., Normandy Park, Wash.\/Highline HS) took first in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:00.35.<\/p>\n<p>Kristie Rice (Fr., Des Moines, Wash.\/Mount Rainier HS), who last week earned all-conference honors with a seventh-place finish at the Great Northwest Athletic Conference championships, proved she is just as agile in the water, swimming to victory in the 500-yard free in a time of 5:30.73. Marion Gallagher (Jr., Everett, Wash.\/Cascade HS) won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:08.94.<\/p>\n<p>The Seattle men captured six of the nine individual titles and one relay on their way to victory. Led by Ryan Denzer\u2019s (Jr., University Place, Wash.\/Curtis HS) time of 47.08 seconds in the 100-free, the Redhawks swam to a 1-2-3 sweep. Seattle also finished 1-2-3 in the 100-breast, with Ross Haverlah (Fr., Petaluma, Calif.\/Casa Grande HS) leading the way with a time of 59.4 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Brad Roberts (Fr., Kenmore, Wash.\/Inglemoor HS) captured the 50-yard free title in a winning time of 21.64 seconds. Jonathan Bartsch (Jr., Billings, Mont.\/Billings HS) was victorious in the 200-yard individual medley in 1:59.19. Rui Ewald (Sr., Santos, Brazil\/Colegio Objectivo, Foothill College), 52.46 seconds, won the 100-fly; and Zach Foster (Fr., Seattle\/Garfield HS), 55.09 seconds, captured first in the 100-yard backstroke.<\/p>\n<p>RESULTS<br \/>\nCWU vs SU 11-1-2003 &#8211;
