Zuchowski went 1:40.08 to edge Jahn. The third participant, <strong>Kyle Peck<\/strong> of Texas, went 1:40.58 to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ncaa-mens-championships-day-4-prelims-destin-lasco-chasing-200-back-four-peat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cap the Saturday morning prelims session<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2025-ncaa-division-i-mens-championships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NCAA Division I Men\u2019s Championships Meet Page<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/swimmeetresults.tech\/NCAA-Division-I-Men-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ncaa-mens-division-i-championships-day-2-prelims-rex-maurer-leads-deep-500-free-field\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 2 Prelims Recap<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ncaa-mens-championships-day-3-prelims-in-battle-of-3-champs-josh-liendo-leads-100-fly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 3 Prelims Recap<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The three swimmers had tied for 16th in prelims, all going 1:39.61. Jahn stretched the lead with a 25.76 on the third 50, getting 0.99 seconds ahead of Zuchowski. But the Stanford junior charged and charged hard. He came home in 24.38, a second quicker than Jahn. Jahn looked set to hold him off, but Zuchowski got his hand to the wall a whisker sooner on the finish to get a finals swim.<\/p>\n<p>Zuchwoski was 39th in the 100 back. That event featured a race for 16th place, won by <strong>Bjorn Seeliger<\/strong> of California. He went 44.17, and Northwestern\u2019s <strong>Stuart Seymour<\/strong> went 45.11, both quicker than the 45.22 that had landed them in the tie. Seeliger upgraded to 12th place in the final.<\/p>\n<p>Peck had the team race weighing on him.
