{"id":607666,"date":"2025-03-20T03:00:42","date_gmt":"2025-03-20T10:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=607666"},"modified":"2025-03-20T16:10:44","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T23:10:44","slug":"ncaa-womens-championships-day-2-heat-sheets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ncaa-womens-championships-day-2-heat-sheets\/","title":{"rendered":"NCAA Women&#8217;s Championships: Day 2 Heat Sheets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>NCAA Women&#8217;s Championships: Day 2 Heat Sheets<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The 2025 Division I Women&#8217;s Swimming and Diving Championship continues from Federal Way, Washington, with the Day 2 prelims.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a look at the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2025-ncaa-womens-division-i-day-2-prelims-heat-sheets-day-2\/ncaa-college\/2025\/March\/20?rtn=%2Fresults%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> heat sheets<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The morning begins with the prelims of the 500 freestyle, followed by the 200 IM and 50 freestyle, before moving to 1-meter diving prelims.<\/p>\n<p>There are nine heats of the 500 free. Texas sophomore<strong> Jillian Cox<\/strong> has the top seed and will be in Lane 4 for heat nine, surrounded by Virginia&#8217;s <strong>Katie Grimes<\/strong> and Tennessee&#8217;s<strong> Ella Jansen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Florida&#8217;s <strong>Bella Sims<\/strong> will be in Lane 4 for the eighth heat, along with Indiana&#8217;s <strong>Anna Peplowski<\/strong>, Texas&#8217; <strong>Erin Gemmell<\/strong> and Florida&#8217;s <strong>Emma Weyant.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Aurora Roghair<\/strong>, fresh off helping the Cardinal claim the 800 free relay title, is the third overall seed and in Lane 4 for the seventh heat.<\/p>\n<p>The 200 IM will have eight heats, led by top-seed <strong>Torri Huske<\/strong> of Stanford, who will be in Lane 4 for the final heat.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia&#8217;s<strong> Alex Walsh<\/strong> is the second seed and will line up next to<strong> Caroline Bricker,<\/strong> who was part of the 800 free relay title for Stanford.<\/p>\n<p>Texas fifth-year<strong> Emma Sticklen<\/strong> is in Lane 4 for the sixth heat, flanked by <strong>Leah Hayes<\/strong> and <strong>Phoebe Bacon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The 50 free will have 10 quick heats.<\/p>\n<p>American record-holder<strong> Gretchen Walsh<\/strong> is the top seed and will be in Lane 4 of the 10th heat next to teammate <strong>Claire Curzan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Louisville&#8217;s <strong>Julia Dennis<\/strong> and <strong>Gabi Albiero<\/strong> lead the ninth heat, while Michigan&#8217;s <strong>Lindsay Flynn<\/strong> and <strong>Brady Kendall<\/strong> will look for some outside smoke.<\/p>\n<p>It should be another extremely fast NCAA session from Federal Way.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/ncaa-division-i-womens-championships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Swimming World Meet Page<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swimmeetresults.tech\/NCAA-Division-I-Women-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Live Results<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NCAA Women&#8217;s Championships: Day 2 Heat Sheets The 2025 Division I Women&#8217;s Swimming and Diving Championship continues from Federal Way, Washington, with the Day 2 prelims.
