IU-Indianapolis and Cleveland State finished behind Oakland on the men\u2019s side, while Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Cleveland State were second and third on the women\u2019s side, respectively.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Wednesday<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oakland got off to a strong start, taking both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s 200 medley relays. A team of <\/span><b>Grace Albrecht, Bella Gary, Jordyn Shipps, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and<\/span><b> Ronja Riihinen <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">won in 1:40.83, while <\/span><b>Harry Nicholson, Christopher Palvadre, Sofus Balladone, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Charlie Brown<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> went a meet record 1:24.16 on the men&#8217;s side. <\/span><b>Sebastian Otero<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> won the men\u2019s 3-meter diving(445.75). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Youngstown State got on the board in the 800 freestyle relay, with <\/span><b>Miriam Frass, Olivia Sweetman, Hailey Clark, <\/b>and<b> Oliwia Kaniak <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">squeaking by IU Indianapolis to win in 7:21.40. Oakland followed up with another win on the men\u2019s side, a team of <\/span><b>Joey Countryman, Jack Wike, Karel Subagyo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>Jonas Cantrell<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> coming through in 6:25.55. IU-Indianapolis\u2019s leadoff swimmer, <\/span><b>Nathan Rariden<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, set a championship record with his split of 1:35.23.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Thursday<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IU Indianapolis got on the board with its first win to start Thursday, as <\/span><b>Emmaleigh Zeitlow<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> won the 500 freestyle (4:47.02), breaking her own meet record. <\/span><b>Jonas Cantrell <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of Oakland took the 500 for the men (4:18.06). Oakland went on a run following Cantrell\u2019s win, as <\/span><b>Jordyn Shipps <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(1:59.72) <\/span><b>\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Jack Wike <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(1:45.3) won titles in the 200 IM. Cleveland State\u2019s <\/span><b>Gracie Chelf<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> won the 50 free to break the Oakland run (22.78), although the Grizzlies\u2019 <\/span><b>Charlie Brown <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">came back and won for the men (19.69). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oakland\u2019s <\/span><b>Elleana Chalifaux<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> won the women\u2019s 1-meter diving. The night closed with the 200 free relay, as a Wisconsin-Milwaukee team of <\/span><b>Gabrielle LePine, Carly Plate, Christiana Brooks<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>Janelle Schultz <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">took the event (1:31.63). A championship record was smashed on the men\u2019s side, with <\/span><b>Micah Scheffer, Harry Nicholson, Wike<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>Brown <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">finishing in 1:17.73 for the Grizzlies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Friday<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><b>Shipps <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(53.23) and <\/span><b>Sofus Balladone <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(47.1)<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">got the Grizzlies out to another great start, both champions in the 100 fly. Youngstown State scored its first individual win with <\/span><b>Frass<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the 400 IM (4:18.91). <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IU Indianapolis dominated the 200 free, as<\/span><b> Zietlow<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> won her second individual event (1:46.95) and <\/span><b>Rariden <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was just 0.18 off his new record (1:35.41).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Milwaukee\u2019s <\/span><b>LePine <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">won the 100 breast in 1:01.01 for the women, while <\/span><b>Palvadre<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> won for the men (52.83). Oakland swept the 100 back, with freshman <\/span><b>Albrecht<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> winning for the women (54.19) and <\/span><b>Nicholson <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for the men. <\/span><b>Otero<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> prevailed in the 1-meter diving with a score of 414.15, good for a championship record.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin-Milwaukee<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> picked up another relay victory on the women\u2019s side, this time with a 400 medley relay team of <\/span><b>Mara Freeman, LePine, Maddi Hayashi, <\/b>and<b> Schultz <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(3:39.13). The Oakland men finished the night by breaking another championship record, this timein the 400 Medley Relay with a team of <\/span><b>Nicholson, Palvadre, Balladone, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Brown<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Saturday<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Swimming\u2019s longest race kicked off Saturday, as Youngstown State\u2019s <\/span><b>Frass <\/b>(<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">16:40.8)<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oakland\u2019s <\/span><b>Cantrell <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(15:15.71)<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">collected their second individual wins. Oakland enjoyed a superb run, winning four straight events. <\/span><b>Albecht <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Nicholson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> claimed victory in the 200 backstroke (1:58.91; 1:42.01) before <\/span><b>Ronja Riihinen<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Brown<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ruled over the 100 free (50.19; 43.47). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cleveland State\u2019s <\/span><b>Giovanna Cappabianca<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> squeaked past <\/span><b>Oliwia Kaniak<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Youngstown State to win the women\u2019s 200 breast, while <\/span><b>Palvadre<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> won his fourth event by taking the men\u2019s title. <\/span><b>Shipps <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">won her third individual in the 200 fly, before Cleveland State\u2019s <\/span><b>Paddy Johnston<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> broke his own championship record to win for the men(1:44.67). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Chalifoux<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> swept the women\u2019s diving competitions with a victory in the women\u2019s 3-meter (298.95). The Oakland men and women closed the meet just as strong as they had begun it, winning both 400 free relays. A team of <\/span><b>Riihinen, Albrecht, Erike Pietras, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Shipps <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">won for the women, while <\/span><b>Nicholson, Wike, Palvadre, and Brown <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">won for the men.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Nicholson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> won Men\u2019s Swimmer of the Meet and <\/span><b>Frass<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Women\u2019s Swimmer of the Meet. <\/span><b>Mitch Alter<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Oakland was named Men\u2019s Coach of the Year and <\/span><b>Kyle Clements<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Milwaukee\u00a0 was named Women\u2019s Coach of the Year.
