The Villanova women’s swimming and diving team continued its impressive streak of Big East titles, winning its 12th consecutive conference championship this week.<\/p>\n
The Wildcats scored 1,588 points to hold off UConn (1,516), Xavier (1,167), Georgetown (1,040), Seton Hall (845), Butler (570) and Providence (475).<\/p>\n
Villanova’s Alana Leen<\/strong> won the 200 backstroke with her time of 1:57.26, marking the 10th year the Wildcats have won event.<\/p>\n Villanova’s Riley Kudlac, Amylia Higgins, Anna Farley<\/strong> and Martina Lonati<\/strong> won the 800 free relay in 7:15.66. Carlota Colomer, Kudlac, Lainey Quinones<\/strong> and Lexi Elkovitch<\/strong> won the 200 free relay in 1:31.39.<\/p>\n Arabella Lee won the 100 butterfly in a B-cut 53.13.<\/p>\n Xavier’s Reese Turner, Jordyn Libler, Erin Ritz<\/strong> and Olivia Oyster<\/strong> won the 200 medley relay in 1:39.52. Turner, Libler, Ritz and\u00a0Alexis Worrall<\/strong> won the 400 medley relay in 3:38.46.<\/p>\n Oyster won the 50 free in a B-cut 22.57 and the 100 free in 49.10, also a B cut. Worrall won the 200 free (1:47.14). Libler won the 100 breast (1:00.47), a B cut. Ritz won the 200 butterfly (1:57.46), in a B cut.<\/p>\n Worrall, Turner, Ritz and Oyster won the 400 free relay (3:19.46).<\/p>\n UConn’s Olivia Denery won the 1-meter diving (290.45), leading a 1-2-3-4 Husky sweep. Kate Cooper won 3-meter (327.35). Maggie Donlevy won the 100 backstroke in a B-cut 53.45. Sydney Perkins won the 200 breaststroke(2:12.52), in a B cut.<\/p>\n
