Family Matter the Reason Chrissi Rawak Will Not Assume CEO Role with USA Swimming<\/strong><\/p>\n

Surprising news was released on Friday night by USA Swimming that revealed that University of Delaware Athletics Director Chrissi Rawak<\/strong>, recently tabbed to be the new CEO and President of the governing body, would not assume the position. USA Swimming indicated in a press release<\/a> that the decision was due to “unforeseen personal circumstances.”<\/p>\n

Sports Illustrated’s Pat Forde<\/strong> posted on his X social media account that Rawak’s decision was related to a family situation. According to a text message obtained by Forde that was sent by Rawak to Delaware athletic staff members, Rawak’s mother-in-law recently passed away and she needed to tend to family.
