David Nolan (200 IM) vs. Maximus Williamson (200 Freestyle) &#8211; VOTE HERE!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Saturday morning, Keller High School&#8217;s <strong>Maximus Williamson<\/strong> delivered a sensational performance at the Texas 6A Championships, setting three national high school records in the course of a few hours. While Williamson established marks in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 200 freestyle, his effort in the longest distance was the highlight.<\/p>\n<p>In the 200 free, Williamson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/maximus-williamson-rips-three-high-school-records-at-texas-states-highlighted-by-130-46-in-200-free\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lowered his own national record to 1:30.46<\/a>, also good for a National Age Group (NAG) record in the 17-18 classification. A University of Virginia recruit, Williamson&#8217;s time would place him in contention for the podium at next month&#8217;s NCAA Championships. Bick<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The other contender for best male high school record of the 2000s is the 200 individual medley performance delivered by Hershey High School&#8217;s <strong>David Nolan<\/strong> at the 2011 Pennsylvania State Champs (PIAA Class AAA). At that meet, Nolan produced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/david-nolan-obliterates-national-high-school-record-in-200-im-leads-off-hersheys-national-record-setting-200-freestyle-relay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a swim of 1:41.39<\/a>, which shaved two seconds off his record from the previous year. More, the time ended up being faster than the 1:41.57 that Stanford&#8217;s Austin Staab clocked on the way to the NCAA title.<\/p>\n<p>So, it seemed an appropriate time to ask our readers for their opinion.
