Portugal, Spain and Ireland Join Forces With The International Federation of Swim Coaches<\/strong><\/p>\n

National coaching organisations from Portugal, Spain and Ireland are the latest countries to join the International Federation of Swim Coaches Associations (IFSCA).<\/p>\n

The IFSCA announced today that the Irish Swim Coaches Association (ISCA), Portuguese Association of Swim Coaches – Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Portuguesa de Treinadores de Nata\u00e7\u00e3o (APTN) and the Spanish Swim Coaches Association – Asociaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola T\u00e9cnicos de nataci\u00f3n (AETN) as its newest members.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2024 by the American, Australian, Canadian, and British Swimming Coaches Associations, IFSCA aims to foster global collaboration, support, and development for National Swim Coaches Associations.<\/p>\n

Brendon Ward,<\/strong> CEO of the Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association (ASCTA) and current Secretariat of IFSCA, emphasised the importance of this milestone, welcoming its three new members.<\/p>\n

“The addition of ISCA, SSCA and AETN strengthens IFSCA’s mission to unite swim coaches associations worldwide,\u201d Mr Ward said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe’re thrilled to welcome these organisations and look forward to working together to support the growth and development of swim coaching globally.”<\/p>\n

Pearse McGuigan<\/strong>, Chairperson of the Irish Swim Coaches Association, expressed ISCA\u2019s<\/p>\n

enthusiasm for joining IFSCA, saying it was an exciting step forward for Irish swimming.<\/p>\n

“This partnership opens up incredible opportunities for us to learn from and collaborate with some of the most established swim coaches associations in the world, \u201c Mr McGuigan said.<\/p>\n

Albert Tubella<\/strong>, President of the Spanish Swim Coaches Association, said SSCA being part of IFSCA allows his organization to contribute to and benefit from a global network dedicated to advancing the profession of swim coaching.<\/p>\n

\u201cTogether, we can drive innovation and excellence in our sport,\u201d said Mr Tubella.<\/p>\n

While ldo M Costa<\/strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>President of the Portuguese Association of Swim Coaches, further added:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very excited to be part of this international cooperation network. This collaboration will benefit us all, not only through the sharing of knowledge and experience but also by strengthening both the social role and the collective identity of swim coaches,\u201d Mr Costa said.<\/p>\n

IFSCA’s mission is two fold:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. To provide support, information, and collaboration opportunities for leaders of National<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Coaches Associations.<\/p>\n

    1. To support the formation and growth of National Swim Coaches Associations worldwide.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      With the inclusion of ISCA, APTN and AETN, IFSCA continues to expand its reach and impact, strengthening the global swim coaching community.<\/p>\n
