Cyndi Gallagher, Tracy Huth, Adam Soldati Finalists for 2025 National Collegiate and Scholastic Trophy<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cyndi Gallagher, Tracy Huth<\/strong> and Adam Soldati<\/strong> were named finalists on Wednesday<\/a> for the 2025 National Collegiate and Scholastic Trophy, awarded by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.<\/p>\n

CSCAA and NISCA award the National Collegiate and Scholastic Trophy yearly to an individual making, \u201cthe greatest contribution to swimming and diving as a competitive sport, and as a healthful, recreational activity in the province of undergraduate and scholastic education.\u201d This year\u2019s award will be bestowed May 5 at the 64th annual CSCAA College Swimming and Diving Awards at its annual meeting in Raleigh, N.C.<\/p>\n

Gallagher was a trailblazer in her 31 years at the helm of UCLA\u2019s women\u2019s team. She led her alma mater to a 202-107-2 record in dual meets, nine top-10 finishes at NCAAs, 15 top-15 results and Pac-12 titles in 2001 and 2023.<\/p>\n

Gallagher retired after the 2019 season<\/a>, culminating 38 years in Westwood as an athlete, assistant coach and head coach. She was twice named Pac-12 Coach of the Year, in 1990 and 2003. She coached 11 Olympians, 21 conference champions and 91 All-Americans. Gallagher was the U.S. head coach at the 2007 World University Games.<\/p>\n

Huth spent 11 years as the head coach of Oakland University\u2019s women\u2019s swimming and diving program before transitioning to athlete administration. He led the Golden Grizzlies from 1987-97, fashioning them into one of the top Division II programs in the nation and laying the groundwork for an eventual transition to Division I, which happened in 2014 as the culmination of seven years as the school\u2019s director of athletics. Under Huth, Oakland won five consecutive NCAA Division II titles. He was a standout swimmer at Oakland in the 1980s, winning 13 NCAA titles, including four NCAA individual medley sweeps, and 24 All-American honors.<\/p>\n

Huth spent 17 years in athletic administration at Oakland, the last seven as the AD. He moved to work with Gallagher as an assistant to the athletic director at UCLA, and since 2018 has worked in athletic administration at the University of Northern Colorado.<\/p>\n

Soldati stepped down in 2024 from his leadership<\/a> of Purdue\u2019s storied diving program, having been at the helm for 19 years before receiving a diagnosis of ALS. Soldati led the Boilermakers to 14 NCAA diving titles and 34 USA Diving Championships, including Olympic gold medalist David Boudia and Olympians Steele Johnson<\/strong> and Brandon Loschiavo.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
