The Louisville men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams swept instate rival Kentucky on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The No. 11 Louisville men won 192-108 and the No. 10 Cardinal women won 206-94.<\/p>\n
The Cardinals began the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay when Camille Murray<\/strong> (25.08), Ella Welch<\/strong> (27.30), Karoline Barrett<\/strong> (23.12) and Lucy Mehraban<\/strong> (21.84) combined to put up a time of 1:37.34.<\/p>\n The Louisville men won the 200 medley relay with Dalton Lowe<\/strong> (20.98), Denis Petrashov<\/strong> (23.61), Aiden Musso<\/strong> (20.58) and Guy Brooks<\/strong> (19.10).<\/p>\n In the 1000 free, Cardinal Leticia Fassina Romao<\/strong> beat the field by eight seconds, posting a 9:40.32.<\/p>\n The men’s 1000 free was won by Carson Hick<\/strong> of Kentucky, who went 8.45.73.<\/p>\n The Cardinals went 1-2-3 in the women’s 200 free led by winner Daria Golovaty<\/strong>‘s 1:45.45 followed by Summer Cardwell<\/strong> (1:46.55) and Amelia Bodenstab<\/strong> (1:46.82). The Cardinal men went 1-2-3-4 in the event led by Guy Brooks <\/strong>(1:34.13), Denis Loktev<\/strong> (1:34.65), Matias Santis<\/strong>o was third (1:36.25) and Murilo Sartori<\/strong> was fourth, going 1:36.37.<\/p>\n In the 100 backstroke, Camille Murray<\/strong> touched second with a time of 53.22 just off the winning time of Kentucky’s Grace Frericks<\/strong>. Louisville’s Filip Kosinski<\/strong> beat the men’s field by a second with a 46.96.<\/p>\n Kentucky’s Bridget Engel<\/strong> won the 100 breast in 59.83 as the only sub-minute finisher.<\/p>\n Tristen Ulett<\/strong> won the 200 fly for Louisville, posting a 1:56.27.<\/p>\n The Cardinal women swept the top four spots in the 50 free led by Julia Dennis<\/strong>‘ 21.90. Gabi Albiero<\/strong> was second in 22.25 followed by Caroline Larsen<\/strong> (22.32) and Abby Karl<\/strong> (22.60). Dalton Lowe<\/strong> posted the winning time in the men’s event with a 19.49.<\/p>\n
