Ohio State scored 1623 points, ahead of the Fighting Irish (818), Akron (803), Indiana State (478) and Wisconsin (50). The Buckeye men also competed at the meet.<\/p>\n<p>Ohio State&#8217;s first win came from\u00a0<strong>Mila Nikanorov<\/strong> in the 500 freestyle (4:41.76), and there was a tie in the 200 IM between\u00a0<strong>Paige Hall<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Paige Delma<\/strong>, with both Buckeyes clocking 1:57.41. The 400 medley relay went the way of Ohio State&#8217;s team of\u00a0<strong>Allie Fenska<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ava DeAngelis<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jessica Eden<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Erin Little<\/strong> in a time of 3:34.37.<\/p>\n<p>The Friday evening session opened with Fenska,\u00a0<strong>Maria Ramos<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nyah Funderburke<\/strong> and <strong>Teresa Ivan<\/strong> going 1:36.27 in the 200 medley relay.\u00a0<strong>Sienna Angove<\/strong> swam a time of 1:45.43 for the win in the 200 free, and DeAngelis went 59.71 to become the only sub-1:00 swimmer in the 100 breaststroke. Angove,\u00a0Little, Nikanorov and\u00a0<strong>Rachel Bockrath<\/strong> clocked 7:06.78 to dominate the 800 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>The Saturday morning session began with Nikanorov dominating the 1650 free in a time of 16:22.17, and\u00a0<strong>Krista Marlin<\/strong> won the 200 backstroke (1:53.32). Ivan was the winner of the 100 free in 48.57, and DeAngelis doubled up with a time of 2:09.61 in the 200 breast. Little, Angove, Ivan and Bockrath finished the 400 free relay in 3:13.55 to take the win.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/college\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">More college swimming news<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Notre Dame&#8217;s team of\u00a0<strong>Hollie Widdows<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jess<\/strong> <strong>Geriane<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Imogen Meers<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Madelyn Christman<\/strong> captured first in the 200 free relay in 1:28.68. Geriane led the way in the 50 free (22.29), and\u00a0<strong>Carli Cronk<\/strong> topped the 400 IM (4:07.63) and 200 butterfly (1:55.28).<\/p>\n<p>Akron got the win from\u00a0<strong>Abby Daniel<\/strong> in the 100 fly (52.27) and another from\u00a0<strong>Maddy Gatrall<\/strong> in the 100 back (52.88).<\/p>\n<p>For the men, Ohio State was competing solo.\u00a0<strong>Matthew Klinge<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Daniel Baltes<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tomas Navikonis<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Mario McDonald<\/strong> clocked 1:18.13 in the 200 free relay. <strong>Alex Metzler<\/strong> topped the 500 free (4:20.64), and\u00a0<strong>Tristan Jankovics<\/strong> picked up the win in the 200 IM (1:44.25). Klinge won the 50 free in 19.58 before session one ended with <strong>Cornelius Jahn<\/strong>,\u00a0Jankovics, Klinge and Navikonis going 3:09.31 in the 400 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>In the evening, Jahn,\u00a0<strong>Karl Helmuth<\/strong>, Klinge and Baltes went 1:24.86 in the 200 medley relay. Metzler won the 400 IM (3:46.18), and Klinge led the way in the 100 fly (46.69).
