Penn State defeated Chicago, 211-79. The Northwestern women scored victories of 207-88 over Penn State and 247-50 over Chicago. Penn State eased past Chicago, 205-86.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gopsusports.com\/documents\/97bd4dba-ae7d-482a-85c6-e6e398b38b15.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-ten-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big Ten Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Duncan, a sophomore, clocked in at 42.75 seconds to win the 100 freestyle. He took down the pool record set in 2019 by Olympian <strong>Bowe Becker,<\/strong> representing Minnesota. He also went 43.31 off the front of the 400 free relay to lead the Wildcats to a win.<\/p>\n<p>Lu celebrated senior day by going 1:45.23 in the 200 individual medley to get the win and put his name on the school record board. He took down the 2015 mark of <strong>Legor Lytvenok<\/strong> of Grand Canyon by .14 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Duncan was also third in the 100 fly, won by teammate <strong>Chris Leung<\/strong> in 47.32, an event in which the top six swimmers were clustered within eight tenths.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stuart Seymour<\/strong> led Northwestern with a pair of wins. He went 45.84 to win the 100 backstroke and 20.03 to capture the 50 free. Duncan, Seymour, <strong>Connor Schuster<\/strong> (second in the 100 free) and <strong>Malachi Cohen<\/strong> (second in the 200 free) teamed up for the 400 free relay victory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam Cohen<\/strong> swept both diving events for Northwestern. <strong>Alexander Rousseau<\/strong> won the 1,000 free. <strong>David Gerchik<\/strong> captured the 200 back. <strong>Diego Nosak<\/strong> won the 200 fly and was second to Lu in the 200 IM.<\/p>\n<p>Penn State started the meet with a thrilling win in the 200 medley relay. The quartet of <strong>Matthew Bittner, Mariano Lazzerini, Cooper Morley<\/strong> and <strong>Tylor Kim<\/strong> went 1:25.30, edging Northwestern by .06 seconds. (Kim had to hold off a finishing relay split of 18.83 from Duncan.)<\/p>\n<p>Lazzerini swept the breaststroke events. <strong>Eduardo Cisternas<\/strong> claimed the 200 free and 500 free, the latter ahead of <strong>Rylan Anselm,<\/strong> who also finished second in the 1,00 free. <strong>Cooper Morley<\/strong> was second in the 100 back and 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p>The dominance by the Northwestern women started from the sprint corps, one that fostered a 1-2 result in both relays. <strong>Nikki Venema<\/strong> led a 1-2-3 result in the 50 free, going 22.58. <strong>Lindsay Ervin<\/strong> and <strong>Audrey Yu<\/strong> followed. Ervin won the 100 free in 49.95 ahead of Yu. Venema, who also finished second in the 100 fly, Ervin and 100 breast and 200 IM winner <strong>Sophie Martin<\/strong> were on both winning relays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zoe Nordmann<\/strong> swept the 1,000 free and 500 free. <strong>Lilly Mehok<\/strong> won the 200 fly, <strong>Claire Mehok<\/strong> the 200 back. Sydney Smith won the 200 free, and <strong>Maggie Papanicholas<\/strong> edged Smith in the 200 breast.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Northwestern Sets Two Pool Records in
