The Louisville men won by a 193-107 margin, while the women coasted, 204-95.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mutigers.com\/documents\/2025\/1\/3\/Missouri-Louisville_Full_Results.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/acc-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ACC Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/sec-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEC Swimming News<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hetrick pulled off the backstroke double for the Cardinals. She won the 100 back in 52.40, ahead of teammates <strong>Abby Karl<\/strong> and <strong>Camille Murray<\/strong> in one of several 1-2-3 sweeps in the stroke events on the afternoon in Columbia. Hetrick went 1:53.22 to win the 200 back by more than 3.5 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Karl led off the winning 200 medley and 200 free relays. On the former, she was joined by <strong>Gabi Albiero,<\/strong> who went 47.85 in the 100 free for a 1-2 result with teammate <strong>Julia Dennis.<\/strong> Dennis won the 50 free in 21.97 and anchored the medley relay; Albiero went on to win the 100 fly in 51.62, trailed by 52s from teammates <strong>Ella Welch<\/strong> and <strong>Tristen Ulett.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Karl\u2019s handoff in the 200 free relay was to younger sister <strong>Avery Karl,<\/strong> with <strong>Lucy Mehraban<\/strong> (second in the 50 free) and Hetrick finishing it out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mia Cheatwood<\/strong> won the 100 breaststroke in 59.91, edging Missouri\u2019s <strong>Lina Bank<\/strong> by .02 seconds. Cheatwood was then second to teammate <strong>Kim Herkle<\/strong> in the 200 breast, then Herkle won the 400 individual medley. <strong>Summer Cardwell<\/strong> won the 500 free, and diver <strong>Lindsay Gizzi<\/strong> augmented a win on platform with a runner-up result in 3-meter.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri started strong by going 1-2 in the 1,000 free, led by <strong>Zoe Schneider.<\/strong> She was the runner-up to Herkle in the 400 IM. <strong>Emily Roden<\/strong> won the 200 fly in 1:57.95. <strong>Zara Zallen<\/strong> was second in the 200 free and third in the 100 free. <strong>Gaby Carmona<\/strong> won 3-meter diving with a score of 301.28 for the Tigers.<\/p>\n<p>Brooks\u2019 sprint prowess combined with Louisville\u2019s stroke depth to make it an easy day at the office. Brooks anchored the 200 medley relay to victory with a finishing split of 19.26. He went 19.55 to win the 50 free and 42.54 to win the 100 free.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri had its share of wins in the front half of the meet, with three wins in the first five individual events plus a diving sweep. But three 1-2-3 sweeps in the back half of the meet put the result away for the visiting Cardinals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Denis Petrashov<\/strong> led the first of those in the 200 breast. He\u2019d swum breast in the winning medley relay, then won the 100 in 50.87 and the 200 in 1:53.68. Second in the 200 breast was <strong>Tommy Bried,<\/strong> who won the 400 IM in 3:43.93 after runner-up finishes in the 200 breast and 200 fly.<\/p>\n<p>Louisville swept the 200 free podium, <strong>Denis Loktev<\/strong> winning in 1:34.09 ahead of <strong>Murillo Sartori<\/strong> and <strong>Matias Santiso.<\/strong> Sartori was second to brooks in the 100. Loktev was third in a podium sweep of the 500, won by <strong>Gustavo Saldo<\/strong> in 4:20.62. <strong>Filip Kosinski<\/strong> won the 200 back for Louisville.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Collier Dyer<\/strong> swept the diving events for Missouri, scoring 383.03 in a 1-2 with teammate <strong>Deacon Colbert<\/strong> on platform. <strong>Jibran Himsieh<\/strong> started the meet by winning the 1,000 free. <strong>Grant Bochenski<\/strong> uncorked a time of 45.86 to win the 100 back, then was third in the 100 free. <strong>Jan Zubik<\/strong> claimed the 200 fly in 1:42.65 and was the runner-up to <strong>Dalton Lowe<\/strong> in the 100 fly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paige Hetrick, Guy Brooks Lead Louisville Sweep of Missouri Paige Hetrick and Guy Brooks were among the standouts for Louisville in a nonconference sweep of Missouri on Friday afternoon.
