WADA 2025 List of Banned Substances Now in Effect (Links Here)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the start of a new year, the World Anti-Doping Agency’s list of banned substances for 2025 has gone into effect. The list can be found here<\/a> and below, and is made available to assist athletes by providing knowledge of what is an illegal substance.<\/p>\n

WADA List of Banned Substances\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

According to WADA:<\/p>\n

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) wishes to remind stakeholders that the\u00a02025 List of Prohibited Substances and Methods<\/a>\u00a0(List) and the\u00a02025 Monitoring Program<\/a>\u202fenter into force today (1 January 2025). The 2025 List was approved by WADA\u2019s Executive Committee (ExCo) during its meeting on\u00a012 September 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The List is one of the eight\u202fInternational Standards<\/a>\u202fthat are mandatory for all\u202fSignatories<\/a>\u202fof the\u202fWorld Anti-Doping Code<\/a>\u202f(Code). It designates what substances and methods are prohibited both in- and out-of-competition and which substances are banned in particular sports.<\/p>\n

Major modifications for 2025\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

As outlined in the\u00a02025 Summary of Major Modifications and Explanatory Notes<\/a>, the major modifications for 2025 include the following:<\/p>\n
