Duncan Scott Awarded OBE In New Year’s Honours List<\/h4>\n

Duncan Scott<\/strong> has been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours List<\/a> following a year in which he became Scotland’s most-decorated Olympic athlete.<\/p>\n

The University of Stirling swimmer, who was awarded an MBE in 2021, won two medals in Paris bringing his Olympic medal tally to eight from three consecutive Games at Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 comprising two golds and six silvers.<\/p>\n

Having won gold in Tokyo in the 4x200m freestyle, Scott – along with James Guy<\/strong>, Tom Dean<\/strong> and Matt Richards<\/strong> made history in Paris, as Team GB\u2019s first-ever quartet to defend an Olympic title and the first four individuals to combine and defend a relay gold in the pool.<\/p>\n
