No\u00e8\u00a0Ponti Lowers 100 Fly World Record To 47.71; Takes Down Dressel&#8217;s Mark<\/h4>\n<p><strong>No\u00e8\u00a0Ponti<\/strong> added the 100 fly world record to his 50 standard as he stopped the clock in 47.71 in Budapest.<\/p>\n<p>The Swiss swimmer cut 0.07 from the WR held by <strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> who went 47.78 in the same Duna Arena pool in November 2020.<\/p>\n<p>With that he claimed his and Switzerland\u2019s third world title in the pool.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old has enjoyed a golden campaign in the Hungarian capital. He started off with a meet record in the 50 fly followed by a WR in the semis. Come the final and Ponti claimed his first world title in a global standard of 21.32.<\/p>\n<p>He then followed that up with the 100IM title, 24 minutes after booking his place in lane four for the 100 fly final.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Noe Ponti 2024 Short Course World Championships\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1OOVLKob-rg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>On Saturday, Ponti was inside world record pace throughout and reached halfway in 22.16, 0.28 inside Dressel&#8217;s time.
