MECKLENBURG Aquatic Club held its Annual Senior Blue\/Orange Intrasquad Meet over the weekend.  Coming off a 7,000 yard pre-meet workout, 15 year-old Ricky Berens (2003-2004 USA National Junior Team member) had some impressive early season swims:<\/p>\n<p>200 freestyle: 1:39.60 (splitting 49.33\/50.27)<br \/>\n500 freestyle: 4:34.19 (splitting 2:17.41\/2:16.78)<br \/>\n200 backstroke: 1:53.64 (splitting 57.07\/56.57)<br \/>\n200 butterfly: 1:54.96<br \/>\n400IM: 4:02.93<\/p>\n<p>Berens\u2019 teammate, 16 year old Matt Patton, was second in both the 200 free and the 500 free with respective times of 1:44.93 and 4:40.83.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CHARLOTTE, N.C., October 20.
